Re: Ratings mean NOTHING (video proof)

IMO using the P as an offensive lineman is a bad example of ratings not working as a whole. The blocking is just wrong in general. I have taken the entire Seahawks line to test blocking and set them all to 12s and have still had relatively similar results compared to their normal stats.

I've also played coach mode with Rivers v. Jordan Palmer and Palmer was all over the place. He made some good throws and he also missed some wide open receivers by a mile while Rivers, who IIRC is one of the more accurate rated QBs, was more precise.

I'd also say that tackling B. Jacobs is a lot different than tackling someone like LT.

I'm not saying they are as representative as they should be, but to say they mean 'NOTHING' is a bit extreme.

No, see, here's the deal. You people are disrespecting the forum's rules, the complaints thread is there for a reason, use it.

Also, your all caps didn't scare me, toughguy.

Re: Ratings mean NOTHING (video proof)

Making the claim that rating mean nothing is silly and will cause people to ignore your argument. If you have evidence of a particular rating not working properly, that might mean something. But even if you determine beyond any doubt that pass block rating has no meaning, that proves nothing about catch rating or tackle rating. See my point? If you want to be taken seriously, you have to be specific about what is wrong with the game.
As for the kickers being able to block, it may in fact be that blocking is broken. However, I'd be curious about what the pass block slider was set at because that might account for the proficiency. Also, the kicker might have pretty high awareness score, which could be an important attribute for determining how good a blocker somebody is.

Re: Ratings mean NOTHING (video proof)

some ratings matters, but others don`t...

example, the WHOLE DL doesn`t matter.
QB acc at default doesn`t matter.. it`s way to high, i can complete over80% with T.Jackson at default.

They still need to work with this.
