I think they need a concede to defeat on online franchise and they need to go back to making you punt when you are on your side of the field on 4th down. Too many people go on 4th down. Only allow if it's 4th and 4 on opponents side.

I just hope they add chip blocks in this year.. that would be a great addition to replace blockers just flat out missing their defenders.

Wasn't Ian in here prior to the Super Bowl last year? I thought he was dropping little hints and asking for our feedback before the blogs started rolling in. Maybe not. I just hope he hasn't lost the urge to post here.

I was a little tough on Madden last year (the pre-determined rookies still bother me), but the game was a huge improvement from the previous years.

"An Electronic Arts source later told IGN the innovation Riccitiello is referring to will be a major surprise. "This is an innovation that changes the game significantly...and no one will see it coming"

Could be many things but too me it has a negitive feeling, considering what they think is football.

Also I read that they wanna make madden more appealing to casual fans, more directly they want a person new to the game to be able to pick up and play without ever having done so.
That to me seems like simplify the game.

We'll see but it makes me nerveous that what EA thinks is innovative we sim fans may find as unacceptable.

I like Madden 10. I'm still playing it.

But, I'm tired of such comments. "No one will see it coming."

Just develop the game and quit trying to hype it.

Agreed totally. Hyping it up last year just made fan mad when it came out and still had past problems. They need to focus on gameplay and make it much better and focus on offline franchise mode more.

Yeah I think the hype is starting to wear a bit thin with me too.

Of course hyping "marketing" the game is always going to be a big part of Madden each year. But I do believe theres a growing number of gamers that are taking more of a wait and see approach with Madden now. I think the rather disappointing sales figures early on...then sales gathered steam after a few months, may bear that out. So it would at least seem, that the hype may not have the same effect it once did.

Personally, all the hype in the world won't bring me back. Rather, I need to see strong evidents that some of the long standing issues are at long last being resolved. Such as..the morphing, warping, poor cpu AI, ect...
