My Madden-Morale is pretty low right now.
Glad to see someone thought the responsiveness comment was worrying too at the same time as me.

Simply putting in an arcade mode and a sim mode would eliminate alot of these problems..Right now I am very concerned about the direction Madden is going with this arcade driven leader on board..I am afraid that Madden 2010 might be the closest to sim that we will ever se from a Maden game...Its a shame because all serious gamers want is immersion..

Yes. There were a few disturbing comments in that Q&A. However, IMO, as long as Ian is there, the SIM train will not be derailed unless he all of the sudden changes his mind or the big fear is that the "higher ups"force a new direction for the game.

That being said though, there have been a number of games that had and additional arcade mode as an option. Could it be as simple as that?

With Madden 10, if you want arcade, play on Rookie, put the play calling on the lowest difficulty, and have fun playing 75-70 games.

If it's fun to play and properly balanced for head-to-head play, that's all I care about.

Too many people keep hoping for Madden to go in a direction that it never will unless sales numbers or outside competition force it to change.
I'm in this boat right now too. Give me a solid game, and I'll enjoy it. Hopefully the game doesn't gravitate back towards momentum-free. I have some hope in that physics technology EA bought in the past and the ability to compete with BB this year. I'm not gonna get negative until I see some real bad stuff. I can't imagine the series regressing on the same platform.

If, and only if, they are going in the direction of being more accessible, EA should give Madden a Sim game mode and an Arcade game mode.

Sim mode is more like Madden 10

Arcade mode is more like Madden Arcade or the Wii version

I like how he talks about some kid who can't figure out he's not controlling anyone. People complained about the red bullseye being an eye sore in madden 10 , wait till next year when you snap the ball and your qb starts glowing and you hear, "YOU ARE MANNING!!"

I shudder at the mention of that name. He ruined my favorite game for years. If you look in the mirror at midnight and say his name three times, I think your Xbox might explode.
