How come us franchise guys cant get what we want?

Its all about money. Thats all it is about with EA. With online play, offline play takes a backseat. Look how Madden has been touted over the last few years...Madden tournaments.

If they never got the NFL contract, things would have been alot different. For the better too i believe.

I for one base everything off franchise mode.

I think the foundation was laid last year for a huge franchise mode blowout this year.

The guy from head coach (Looman I believe is his name), wasn't brought in last year to keep the same standard franchise mode.

There are no sales conspiracies going on here. He is doing what he said he would...Improve the foundation in Madden 10 prior the enhancing the mode in future years.

There is a reason EA is being super quiet about franchise mode. The fact that we all but know Gus Johnson will be the play by play guy says a lot about EA's committment to listening to their buyers and making the game better.

Don't be surprised if offline franchise mode is NFL Head Coach-lite.

People here need to get over the fact that EA owns the NFL license, and will continue to own it for a long time. The NFL has no interest in altering or changing their contract. The NFL "sold" them the rights undervalued as it is. The reason they did this is to consolidate vendors and control quality. They want a high "value" product for their license. The Madden series for better or worse gives them that. This will not change even with EA's financial woes.

As for franchise, it will never get as realistic as other games, with suspensions, player character, or anything like that, as part of the "image" clause in that contract. So we can forget that.

What on earth have you seen that shows that Looman is working hard on Franchise?

All I see him tweeting about (for the past few MONTHS) is MUT. Not a good sign to me.
