Madden 07 was my original answer as well. I just didn't want to go into detail why because there was too much hahaha.

Moving forward from Madden 10 Josh still has a lot of work to do to restore Madden NFL Football to it's former glory as the best franchise mode in sports gaming. the good news is he was the man that made that/those franchise modes, so he isn't trying to copy someone elses work.

So yes, it is a little wrong o get mad at EA, becasue at least they have had the right man in charge of franchise mode these last two years. However, no it isn't wrong because it is still EA's fault that franchise mode went from what it was to what it is by asking Josh Looman to make a brand new game instead of just working with Madden the entire time.

Needless to say, adembroski, Josh and I talked a lot on CD about franchise mode. I wish I could say anything, but I cannot.
I don't give them any credit for this move until we see it pay off. Sure, he's got a good track record, but if EA has him do nothing but MUT updates then I could care less. Madden 10 was a good touch up year, but this year needs to go FAR beyond simply getting rid of bugs. We need depth, customization, immersion.

Well hopefully the talk you Adem and Josh has worked. No one asking for the next HC in madden 11. We really just want a decent offline franchise mode. But hopefully you saying you can't say nothing means something good.

Yes there is going to be improvements. If there wasn't no improvements then there would be no need for Josh Looman to be there would there. Just what kind of improvements is the thing we must find out soon enough.

I hope you are correct but you really need to look at it from every point of view.

Im sure EA had someone work on Franchise Mode for 07,08 and 09.

Those modes stunk.I mean just awful.Bugs everywhere in Franchise mode.
While Franchise mode was not very good Im sure whoever was in charge didnt want to make a crappy Franchise Mode.IMO EA decides what modes ,features and what not are priority.I know diff people work on diff aspects of the game but I would also think that not all of those aspects get the same amount of budget either.

Therefore it really does matter what is priority and what is not as far as budget. At least thats what I would think.

Re: Deepest Madden Franchise Mode

Madden 09 for the PS2 I think is still dang good. sure it doesn't have the Tony Bruno who actually made the game fun, or the news paper articles that were actually interesting. but it does allow you to change teams in the offseason, full ownership.

I still think any version on the PS2 is great. this might be the PS2 last year on Madden so I expect to buy a copy as well a PS3 or 360 copy.

I am not a fan of the during the season scouting but it makes sense and makes things more realistic, but personally I rather spend time focusing on this season and not next.

I wish they add Expansion draft mode in the game, luckily I bought Madden 2002 for 99 cents from gamestop which is the only version that has that mode with the Texans
