Re: Buying or Skipping Madden 11?

Honestly it seems like in past years as of late, I alternate between NCAA and Madden. Last year I bought Madden - could've used some tweaks, but I definitely had a blast for a few months, before losing my interest after acquiring insane levels of talent through the draft.

This year, NCAA 11 looks pretty awesome. Waiting for the named rosters to come out before firing up my Cincinnati dynasty.

NCAA 11 had some things that looked awesome, and I got excited about getting the game Day #1. So far, Madden doesn't seem like it has anything that I can get particularly excited about. At this point I'll probably just play NCAA through until FIFA comes out, but we'll see.

To you my friend. To you. To me it was better, but it wasn't the revelation that it was to many. I've said it once, I'll say it again. Madden is Madden. They are all incredibly more similar than they are dissimilar. To many this is a good thing. Used to be to me as well. Now I want what I consider to be better than that.

To borrow from Sgt Murtaugh, I'm getting too old for this ish lol.

That's why ODogg...I don't think they can do that kind of overhaul two years in a row. Kind of like the show from 09 to 10...09 was awesome, added tons...10 added waivers, and different pickoff moves. Yay...

I think maybe Madden 11 will have gameplay tweaks/improvements, and if they get the OL ratings to matter (as I've said before) that will be huge for me, because it will make running the football fun.

But with no improvements to online franchise, or offline franchise, and nothing revolutionary in the gameplay department, except with shared tech with NCAA...2 things are gonna happen:
1) We'll have NCAA with NFL rosters, and worse playbooks (because there're more in college)
2) We'll have Madden 10 with a few more bugs ironed out.

Either way, it tells me NCAA is the way to go. I will probably get Madden, but not saying "definite yes" yet. NCAA is one just on 2 days of impressions.

Who knows if people will stick with it, but it seems people are spread out amongst all three categories evenly. I don't know if that could be said for years past.

Skipping. Just seems the same as 10 with some minor upgrades, IMO.

Just bought NCAA 11 for the first time, and am loving it so far.

Re: Buying or Skipping Madden 11?

I'm skipping this year. But, I've been skipping since Madden 06 so no real surprise there.

Unfortunately no in game saves in next gen iterations kills it for me. If it returns though....

Wait and see!

Don't see the big jump as we did from 9-10. I do like surprises though.
