Pro-Tak is a progressive animation that runs odds of a tackle or breakthrough. What is happening with this game's tackling system is a lack of dynamic tackling. Dunno if anyone's noticed this (didn't read the whole thread) but this does not look like the Madden 11 Player Models (looks more like 09/10). Take another look, does anyone else feel the same way?

Maybe I'm wrong, but the running animation for the ball carrier and as he lowered his head, and the general lack of loco-motion that can be seen in the M11 vids just don't seem to be there. It just doesn't look like other user posted M11 videos.

i never hear/read questions asked about this(tackling) in any of the blogs/podcasts either??

That video is somewhat disturbing. No one on the kickoff team looked like they wanted to tackle the return man. They just wait for him to touch them then a tackle animation occurs. Not one defender lines up to make a tackle. And I do hope #31 was in fact user controlled, seemed like it, but me saying that, I'm being nice!

And how did #33 completely whiff on the return man when he stopped moving?
