Re: Hows your franchise playing?

Wk 4 WAS (3-0) @ PHI (2-2) -- Return of McNabb....

Its official...the offense is in a funk, and the QB growing pains have begun. Kolb, after experiencing success in wks 1 & 2, has regressed in wks 3 & 4, throwing 4 INTs over those 2 weeks and completing passes at a barely 50% clip. Part of his struggle has been due to my ineffectiveness to run the ball -- which has me interested in Marshawn Lynch -- since I've put him on the block for the 0-4 Buffalo Bills (who have a lot of depth at RB).

Donovan McNabb went 13/21 for 207 yards and 2 TDs. The Redskins never turned the ball over, and McNabb beat his old team in Philly 17-3. Clinton Portis ran the ball 26 times for 117 yards, and the Redskins defense shut down Philly allowing PHI to get in the redzone only once for an Akers FG...and that was because DeSean Jackson returned a punt that put the Eagles on the 35 yard line.

Ellis Hobbs actually played pretty good, and it was Asante Samuel getting beat twice for scores. Still have some interest in Ronde Barber, but with Mike Bell fumbling and my running game being horrible w/ LeSean McCoy having a hard time powering through the line....I'm looking at Marshawn Lynch now to fill a void in the run game.

Re: Hows your franchise playing?

I play on all pro with the bengals but I made a quite a few trades. I traded for A. Peterson, gave up two first round picks and Benson. Also I traded TO for Hester. I traded some draft picks and a couple players for harvin and berrian too. Basically I picked up as much speed as possible. I wish now that I didn't do it because it has became almost unbearably easy. I avg about 50-60 a game on 7 min quarters with the 15 sec run off. I return kicks and punts regularly with hester and harvin as well as breaking lots of big runs with AP. I know the trades I made were unrealistic but I like to have my type of players and I dont have force trades so I just beat the logic lol.

I'm currently 14-0 and haven't even been challenged. I find defense to be fairly easy as long as you have speed. This game feels a lot like Ncaa 09 at times with better physics.

3-1 with Cleveland - 2010 Season.

Roster Moves -

Traded Delhomme for Troy Smith and 5th/6th Rd picks

Picked up David Clowney (Stuckey is out and my other WRs have Braylon Edwards syndrome)

Signed LeGarrette Blount to punch people in the face.

lol yeah kind of, Vikes have a lot of speedy guys. Im an NCAA guy and speed kills. On Madden its true this year too. CJ Spiller is my back up RB. Can't teach speed! On this years madden you cant catch or tackle it either lol

7 MIN qtrs w/ a 15 second run off. How many plays are you running a game? 25? Geesh....

That's about 25 too little -- if you're going for a realistic # of plays.

By contrast I just had to up the time from 9:00 qtrs to 11:00 qtrs w/ 15 second run off because I was only seeing about 55 or so plays/game. Will probably move it to 12:00 to have a nice round number to work with.

Thought I could play w/ the time settings like I have been for NCAA, but since Madden uses an accelerated clock for the whole game and NCAA only does this as part of the gameplanning options you set I was using up too much time w/ accel clock on and only 9:00 qtrs.
