It's really not that much, considering how powerful the development trait is. If you could just scout every single players development, that would be the only thing worth scouting.

You kidding?
You only get what 36,000 scouting XP for a season?
That would mean you can find out the development trait, and nothing else, no speed no scheme no awareness no coverage no catching you won't have any other inkling of what kind of player he is for 7 players out of the like 220+ players who are in the draft.

Even if you use your coach XP to get the double scouting XP that takes you to 14 out of 220+

and again, you wouldn't have any xp left over to find out any of their other stats.

Not at all worthwhile at the 5,000 pricepoint.
I agree its really important to know, but 5,000 is absurd

It's not absurd. Development is the most important attribute this year - would you expect the price to be low enough for you to scout it for half the players in the draft while still having enough to scout other stuff? Now that would be absurd.

Re: Development trait

Anyone know the differences between the development traits? For example if you are superstar do you get more XP per game or do upgrades cost less?

It is fine at 5000. You are not supposed to know the development of all your targets.
Personally I would not be against not being able to discover it until after you draft a guy (because that is kinda how it is in real life).

The way I see it is that unlocking development should only be a luxury for 1st round picks. With a cost of 5000 you can unlock development for one or maybe two guys. That is fine.

In my CC I needed a FS to replace the recently retired Reed. I had the 27th pick and was looking at the #1 FS who was projected to go 10th. I was thinking about moving up to get him but first unlocked development to see if it was worth it.

Those are the situations where you should unlock it, not for every prospect you may draft.

Scout Intangibles.

My center I drafted had a B intangible, was listed for the 5th round, but I scouted a few things and he's rated 79 in my first year with him, and I saved up enough points to go from quick development to superstar.
