This same skeptical fear is in every single thread on this forum. You guys feel the need to tell anyone who doesn't see it your way, over and over and over.

Trust me, this forum knows how you folks feel.
People are allowed to not like the game as much as you are allowed to like the game and post about how much you like the game in any thread you wish.

Enough of this now, drop it.

THIS X10000000000!!!!!!!

MY GOD how hard is it to understand this EA???

It still looks like the same game from last gen. I simply just don't understand, EA. Eh well, looks like I can give up on next-gen football altogether at this point and I didn't even have to buy a new console to come to that harsh reality. $500+ saved.

It may look similar to this gen, but I may still wait for next gen depending on how the CPU AI looks. It's the 50+calcs/second that intrigues me. Are players going to play a lot smarter? It will also depend on the off field CPU AI. If these things are much improved, I may get next gen madden.

Based on past history, do you expect the developers to re-write the CPU AI code to maximize (or really, even take advantage of) the use of the 50+calcs/second without making it a strong marketing point (because it likely requires much developer effort)? Perhaps my expectations are too low, but I don't expect much of a difference other than slight graphics improvement, and certainly not AI improvement (although I bet there will be a "placebo effect" amongst some playing on a new system).

Basically, the system's power can't re-write the game's code, and I would be shocked if EA took the time to beef up the AI code to be at a level beyond what current-gen does, and then not market/publicize the heck out of that amazing feat.

I was listening to the E3 interview with Cam Weber and he clearly mentioned how the players would be aware of the entire field and act individually. It was a major emphasis of his interview. Do I expect it to be much better? With what Cam Weber said, I wouldn't be surprised either way. I wouldn't bet my Brothers house on it (I never bet my own), but I may still wait and see if their is a major difference with on field CPU AI.

Now the off field CPU AI is a different story. There have been no time constraints on this gen, just power and memory constraints. The off field CPU AI has all the time in the world to crunch that stuff (it's not real time code). But I'll still check come November and see if it's significantly improved.

What other choice do I have.

Re: Cam Weber: Madden NFL 25 on Next-Gen Will be Fully Featured

I made it through the first 10 pages of this thread before thinking that I must be missing something because the player models, true step movement, and blocking schemes all looked good to me.

The biggest sell for me was the claim that players will make 50 more contextual adjustments per second than they did before. That's amazing from an AI perspective.

I saw double team blocking, good edge rushes, intelligent OL play, a nice range of tackle animations, and impressive detail.

I also thought Cam Weber's talk matched the footage. He seemed very sensible. The video breakdown early in the thread was also very sensible. If CCM has what last year's had plus the variable performance where drafted players don't perform the same way in each draft class (some stink in your version while the same guys are stars in mine), then I'm sold.

But again, I must be missing something. I like it.

I just hope he means players are aware of the total field "That is in their line of sight".
