just throwing it out there to help ya out.
There's that but that doesnt work with madden.

From Madden 10 to this...

In some cases agility worsens everything

Tomba I don't want to hijack your thread but I just wanted to add that another rating(s) that factor's into player movement is Play recognition and Pursuit. I think these should be lowered for instance:

Play recognition- Pass rush DE's,DT's -10

Run stopping DE's,DT's -5

Balanced DE's,DT's -3

Run stopping LB's -5

Coverage LB's between -7 to -10

Cornerbacks -10 for cornerbacks who excel at man to man (since their focus is on reciever)
- 5 for cornerbacks who are better in Zone coverage

Stron Safety -5

Free Safety -10

Pursuit rating is the quotient of Speed + Awareness + Block shedding + Play recognition.

In my experience in utilizing these edits along with other tweaks I have eliminated unrealistic plays on the defensive side of the ball and therefore have reduced those scratch-your-head moments lol!

Im finding that in general players pursuits are whats making the game look bad in some cases

lowered speed and acc by ten for all players play tested and it somewhat fixed this issue but pursuit(when editable for a player) hasnt been tested

Re: Tomba's Madden 25 Speed Conversation

I agree with your acceleration theory in that reducing it alleviates some of the spastic, unreallistic movements and plays made on the defensive side of the ball.

From what i've been reading about in the forums is that editing of rosters (Madden 25) can only be done before you start a CFM and if that's the case then our edits will all be for naught because the subsequent draft classes will come in with ridiculous ratings thereby creating an unbalanced experience.

I would be interested know if you have a work-around or other way to maintain the integrity of the edits of the rosters. I've appreciated your work in the past with the NBA 2k series and so I'll definitely be paying attention to what type of edits and theories you come up with.

You know the first rule I learned in graphic design class was that centering your text makes it difficult to read, now I see why................

Tomba, do you have a rough estimate of how long the edits will take?

I'm on PS3 and want to use your edited rosters.

This is why I don't understand why people spend a lot of time tweaking ratings for this game. I could understand if this was Tecmo Bowl and you had one season to play and then had to start over and editing actually "improved the gameplay experience." But the moment the game advances into Year 2, regardless of whether it's an NCAA draft class or a Madden-generated class, these tweaks will be overridden by the rookies entering the league, causing all sorts of problems I'd imagine.

Sure, Madden should allow for full editing but even if they did, I also doubt even most sim-style players would want to continually overhaul each class of rookies to align with the rating goals of the gameplay experience.

Not unless someone can draw up a editing program like Flyingfinn did for NFL2K5. Which i remember you could edit not only players but the entire draft class.

Another option would be putting 2 teams together, one to help Tomba with the madden edits and the 2nd team editing NCAA roster with 30 years worth of draft classes. Not sure if you can select more than one team and edit players while in dynasty on NCAA14 though.
