It's annoying for me too. It feels about the same as having so many big names come out of retirement or (in the old days) come back to coach. I wish there were more settings that actually mattered in the game. Instead of having 100 point sliders for dozens of variables (penalties, difficulty, speed threshold, etc.), I wish we had fewer but clearer choices. People who like the inside jokes can have them, but not everyone has that sense of humor.

One of my favorite old games, Jagged Alliance 2, had an option to turn "Sci-Fi Mode" on or off. JA2 is a turn-based strategy game in which the player controls a group of mercenaries trying to overthrow a dictator. With sci-fi mode on, the game includes a hive of giant alien bugs that eat people. The bugs kind of fit the game's dark sense of humor, but I can see some fans not liking them, so the devs were smart to make this element optional. Admittedly, alien bugs are a bigger part of JA2 than certain joke players are of Madden. Still, it would be nice if the Madden devs gave us a chance to play the way we want to, including the little stuff.

He's in the Colossus Stone/Dante Grimm storyline. He doesn't show up until way later in the process, week 16 or something. I don't remember for sure but he is in that draft.

Exact why I hate the pre made draft crap.

Hate the stupid storylines. So cliche and whoever named most of these cats should be tarred and feathered then thrown in boiling oil.
