Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K11 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching

I am starting to find myself getting lots and lots of hits a game. Not sure if I am just getting better or if my team is on a hot streak. Any suggestions?

raise cpu pitch success in increments of 5...

might want to adjust CPU stealing aggressiveness. Played a game against the white sox and they attempted 5 stolen bases. 2 from Dunn and 1 from A.J.

I'll say that again, 2 from Dunn and 1 from A.J.....are you kidding me? lol!

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K11 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching

Haven't seen that in any games I've played...

A couple personal updates I made for my own usage:

- raised user pitcher composure influence to 25 (or you could use 15)
- raised cpu pitcher composure influence to 5

This slider seems to be a bit touchy. I think cpu at 5 is too low because there's nothing that indicates a pitcher gets rattled when he should. BUT, I don't want to overdo this either. I think 5 will work.

I played a game today with the user at 15. I got in a few jams and NOT ONCE did the ball ever begin to get jaggy on me, so I'm going to see what 25 does.

Again, these are suggestions - I'm not putting them on page 1 and if you don't want to change anything then don't. There's a range you can work with... You should have a challenge, but it should also be fun.

only problem with theese sliders are that opposition is too agressive. they swing way too often, which can be fixed by decreasing their contact slider but then they tend to strike out way too often. i don't know if this can be fixed, the game has a severe dislike towards foul balls, i feel like every 20th swing results in a foul ball, most of them are either put in play or swings and misses. :sigh: if there was a way to severly increase the number of foul ball i'd be a happy man.

still, these are the best mlb 2k11 sliders in my opinion. nice work.

you've nailed it...it can't be fixed. the only thing you can do is make user pitching harder. now, to those who get upset because they can't nail a gnat in the strike zone will loathe this. but it's the only way to bring the realism into the game. trust me, i've played hundreds of games with every combination imaginable...

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K11 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching

I just wanted to say thank you for the slider work. I just got this game 2 weeks ago, and I'm having a blast. I 'm just playing MLB Today games right now, but I eventually will start a franchise probably after the trade deadline. Have you played a game yet with your most recent adjustments in regards to user and cpu pitcher composure influence. Also-did you change you cpu pitch success from 60 to 65 or 70. I changed mine to 70, but havent played a game yet with them. I didn't change them because of dominating the computer (which I'm not doing by any means). Rather I did it for the future if I start getting to many hits a game and it becomes to easy at 60. It's tough to know when I want to start a franchise. I want my sliders as realistic as possible. I don't want to get 10-15 games in and see my team batting average is over 300. I don't think that will happen because your slider set is awesome. In my MLB Toaday games I'm averaging like 6-8 hits a game and I'd say probably about 3 runs a game (not good I know). Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to say thanks again for your work and I'm having a blast with them. Keep up the good work Go Ducks!!!!!!!

Re: mkharsh33 MLB 2K11 Sliders: Classic Hitting / Total Control Pitching

whats up mk, i took a leave from my 2k braves franchise few weeks with ncaa coming out, which now I found out I justed wasted valuable play time(see roster bug).......I am at end of july, play every other game. I have a 3.5 lead over Mets, July was a slump month for me, including some key injuries: Beachy and Teheran out for over 60 days, and a few players on 15 DL. under .500 for the month of july has brought a 10 game lead I had before all star break down to slim margin. These sliders are the best fellas if you want realism over a long period of time, and can find patience at plate and on mound. Work the counts on both sides. Looking forward to a better August, thanks to MK's rosters and sliders I got something to keep me busy until hopefully NCAA fixes issues. Until then all 2k for me, between this and nba 2k I am having a blast!!!
