Well, I am glad they posted these ratings as it's better than nothing, but it's certainly not as "big" as the demo or even gameplay footage.

This is as corny as their skits. You got to love the way they hyped this announcement in their forums.

It's only a letdown if your expectations were extremely high. Ron did not mention a breakthrough feature or a new revolution in sports gaming, he just mentioned an "exclusive announcement". The term's vague enough to be anything, really. It could have been something as dramatic as a new mode of play or as mundane as...well, player ratings.

Some people are acting like it's the end of the world. Why? Because 2K didn't do what you wanted? I said it before and I'll say it again: don't expect the world from their PR department.

I mean is there anything wrong with him just making the announcement, instead of announcing an announcement? He also says something along the lines of, "Tell all of your friends and let's get the word out!" Tell my friends about player ratings?

That's the line that's drawn where he deserves the finger.
