Re: CPU AI

I think the only I remember seeing the cpu SP get pulled early is when you jump all over him, like you did mk. Otherwise they leave them in pretty much until they have 0 energy.
Although, in my franchise i saw the cpu leave grienke in to try to finish the complete game up 3-1, until i got a rally going and they put axford in for the save. Which i could see teams leaving their studs in to finish games and stuff like that

Re: CPU AI

Yeah... I hate to lower the pitcher fatigue meter (or whatever that setting is called). I have mine at 45 which I think is perfect. I try to work the counts. I was able to foul off 7 consecutive pitches in one at-bat today, and the entire AB went 13 pitches. But I really wish they had TWO separate setting sliders for this... I posted this pretty heavily on 2K's website last year, but it fell on deaf ears (and I refuse to visit that site anymore).

Re: CPU AI

I TRY to work the counts to haha, sometimes i get a lil swing happy and it gets me into trouble. I havent been able to get the SP out before the 7th yet i don't think. But I've gone against Josh Johnson, Grienke, Gillardo, and Marcum. I'm hoping to do better against some lower tier guys

I did not mean to imply that. I meant, I am baffled that people can play full seasons with the CPU AI in these games. Even one game feels destroyed and like a waste if, for instance, the CPU leaves in a middle reliever for 7 IP (something I remember occuring). I wish there were more compartmentalized computer relief pitcher management.

o you think the people who say they play full seasons are lying?

Thanks for this workaround. I hadn't thought of it till I read this thread.

This workaround actually needs to go a little deeper though. I used it and then the next half inning, the CPU pinch hitter actually pitched to the first batter before being taken out for a reliever. And I think that's because the CPU had nobody warming up in the bullpen when I called up a pinch hitter for the CPU pitcher.

So the workaround needs to be:

1) Swap controller to CPU. Pinch hit for the Pitcher.
2) Check the bullpen to make sure the CPU has a reliever warming up and if not warm somebody up for the CPU.
