Yea, I agree with that.

And sadly, he is probably our best option out there. If Bernie is out there that might be a triple.

And look, gave them another run.

This has to be embarassing for them.

lol ties go to runners? everyone learned that in lil league. its just a myth joe, either your out or your safe and shef was called out..........

even though he looked safe!!

i think if he threw his helmet away from the ump and didnt show him up he wouldnt have got tossed.

i can smell the Mets blowing this one tonight. although i hope they dont!!

Sheff def. had an argument there. Can't blame him for throwing the helmet in frustration, but getting up in the umpires face wasn't the best move. Probably earned himself a few days off.

I think a lot of times on play's like this the umpires award the fielders for making a great play. There is no such thing as tie goes to the runner in MLB. If a fielder makes a great play and it's a "tie" they'll call him out 9 times out of 10. The replays certainly looked like he was safe though.

Re: Official New York Yankees Bleacher Creatures Team Thread

It looked like he was yelling at the ump as he threw the helmet. Not just after getting thrown out.

It's about time.

I've never seen anyone argue balls and strikes as much as he does. Every single strike that is borderline he has to turn around and have a conversation about. Just STFU and hit.

David Ortiz has been doing that lately as well. Bugs the hell out of me. I understand questioning the obvious ones but it isn't a ball just because you didn't swing.
