Tomorrow is Germano vs. Redman. Should be interesting.

How about Kooz??? wheres Barfield now??. Man Kooz has started this year great. Also it was nice to not single the rockies to death and we got some pop last night.

Good win....Boy is Wolf a different pitcher now..

Yeah he's awesome. If he's a Padre he's automatically awesome right? 3 Extra base hits. I thought they already got rid of Burroughs.

I hope you enjoy mediocrity, because this team has been mired in it, and will continue to be for the forseeable future.

Wow you just like to pick anything negative you can find on Kouzmanoff's stats. Two weeks into the season and he's already Sean Burroughs v. 2 in your books.

3 extra base hits, and fewer RBI than Brian Giles. Not much more needs to be said. Before we talk him up as being great, let's have him accomplish something.

Maybe in May, but this is the middle of April, only 14 games have been played.

Whatever, since he's only a second year player, everything works in your favor since he only had 50 extra base hits last season, something Burroughs never accomplished, 18 home runs, something Brian Giles would only reach if he was playing for an NL Central team, and rebounding from .108 start through May 9 to finish the year at .275. I mean, those aren't David Wright numbers, but collectively so far he's accomplished more than Slappy Burroughs. Is it wrong to root for Kevin Kouzmanoff? I don't see anyone getting all giddy like he's the best. I mean, he's hanging around the majors while Josh Barfield has suddenly took a decline for the worst. That's all TheTruth stated since a ton of people were getting all riled up over trading Barfield away.

Read truth's post again. But he does nothing but overrate the home teams.

I hope Kouz does well, but damn, before we start saying he's playing great or is great, lets wait till he actually does something.

This team is an 77-82 win team at best. For Sandy Alderson, Kevin Towers and John Moores that's good enough apparently. No desire to put together a championship team.

Mediocrity, it's what the Padres strive for.

I see, I'm not familiar with TheTruth when he posts about the Angels so I wouldn't know about that.

Anyways, I think a lot of people would agree on that with Kouz. I'm just hoping for the whole season he breaks 25 home runs and justifies the "hitter" reputation he had in the minors.

BTW on a gameday-related note, welcome back to reality Germano.

seriously you read way to much in to a post. I simply said how about Kooz? and where is barfield..nothing to it. Was just saying.

Kooz has started off good, where is barfield? what has he done since being traded that is all. I don't get it why if I say something I get jumped over. Who cares??? everyone has an opinion. Are the padres my favorite team heck no. Do I really care if they win not a chance because they are not my favorite team. Am I happy when they win of course because I am a baseball fan that lives in San Diego. Is there a problem with that?

Of course that padres strive for mediocrity why should they put out a good team that can compete for championships when there are very little die hard home team fans in the San Diego Area?? SD is the worst place to be a sports fan.

Oh yeah its only 2 weeks into the season, nothing counts yet until they get to the mid season. Then the season starts to matter. ITS WEEK TWO!

Also how do I overrate the home teams BK please educate me because thats not my intent. Its just a message board
