Nice video.

It makes me mad that I have crappy 2K.

I know some, and probably most, are already aware of this...

But I just learned how to make the retired numbers stick in season mode:

1. when you start a season turn cpu roster control on
2. it helps to control all teams when starting a season too, because transactions will undo the changes
3. in season mode main menu go to "personnel: cpu roster control" and send the player to the minors
4. back out to the main menu and go to "personnel: manage roster" and edit the player's number
5. then return to the previous section "personnel: cpu roster control" and call the player back up
6. fix the lineups and rotations as needed

This is very cool, simply because so many player's numbers are iconic. Seeing Willie Mays as #25 just isn't the same.

Just did a bunch of these, thought I should clarify...

3. in season mode main menu go to "personnel: cpu roster control" and send the player to the minors
4. back out to the main menu and go to "personnel: manage roster" and edit the player's number
5. then return to the previous section "personnel: cpu roster control" and call the player back up

There's actually a "manage roster" section within the "personnel: cpu roster control" section, but after step #3 you have to back out all the way to the season mode main menu and edit the player from the "personnel: manage roster" section.

Jim Palmer has: 4-seam, change, slow curve. Should be:

1. 4-seam
2. slow curve
3. slider

You could always make the switch to the PS3, or add the PS3 to your collection if you have the funds. I did a year ago just for The Show and I'm glad I did. Only thing is that I wish I had 2 PS3's so I could play this game in our spare bedroom when the wife is watching Desparate Housewives or Grey's Anatomy.

Re: All-Time Franchise's Best Year Roster V.1

Roster sets like this made the decision to pass on Madden 12 a lot easier. Thanks so much for the hard work, guys.

BR, thanks for the PM about roster-making. Yeah, I'm going to have to shelf my idea of doing my own roster set, as I simply don't have the time to do it accurately. Doing a full-time Internship, taking a night class and working part-time pretty much eats up all my free time, so the limited time I do have with The Show, I'd rather just play than create a roster. Maybe next summer after my Internship is over? At least I have some ideas now on what to do if I ever decide to tackle the project.

I think I may have to go 30-team control with this roster set, put all the management stuff on Auto (Knight or anyone else, will the CPU just murder all the teams if I do this?), turn trades OFF and try and use every team.

Thanks again, guys!

I use 30 team control with the CPU playing 29 of them...no problem IMO and if you don't like something....fix it!(the beauty of 30 team control!)
