Once I have a feel for the time in the windup....I do a count in my head for the same amount of time.

Again it is a feel thing. Somedays I have it.....some days I don't.

As with timing which I use for hitting, I'd rather have my pitchers statistics influence how well they are throwing so I can have off days where I walk 8 batters. That would never happen on full analog. Anyway, there is a length of time to hold down the button that influences the pitcher? Like, the longer I hold it, the harder the ball is thrown? Or with a breaking ball, the more the pitch will break if I hold it longer? Is that the general concept? Yesterday, I was just generally tapping it the same every time.

Exactly. Now what can happen when too much effort is put into the pitch is it can back fire in getting away from you or making it too perfect and the hitter crushes it.

It really is a great variable. Classic pitching to me really gives you the most accurate representation of the ebb and flow of a 162 game season. I used to use meter in MVP 2005.....I painted the corners at will. It became too easy. With Classic I love the variables and ratings dictating everything for the most part. The user input is the ball marker and effort placed with the amount of time you press the button. Then ratings, fatigue and confidence take over.

Yeah I like that too.

LOL yeah just played a game against the Phils and I'm the Mets in my franchise. I won but only struck out two and walked 9 in an 11-6 win. Def going to have to work on this but I like it much better.

If you are worried about control, raise consistency up to 6, you will still throw some walks but you will have more control.

Also, with AS, I have it down now with hitting and the sliders armor and I have for hitting are perfect. The key is patience, I know, I know, obvious, but it really is. The pitchers will give in if you make them.

Yeah I literally just raised consistency up to 6 right before I read this. In my next game pelfrey walked 3 in the first inning and although that's typical of him it was getting ridiculous.

Re: Armor & Swords The Show 12 Timed/Classic All-Star Sim Sliders

Had a great 3 game series with my Mets versus the Phillies. Won the first game 11-6. Won the second game in a crazy back and forth game 5-4 with Wright hitting a GW 2 run- Homer. Got demolished 8-2 the third game. Couldn't hit Worleys curve. Switched to classic AS pitching and will be using Vet hitting. Getting awesome varied results. Both human and cpu strike % around 60.

If i HAD to complain about anything, it would be that for some reason I dominate with Lucas Duda in 12 the show. Hes hitting like .512 in 9 games. Otherwise, awesome stuff here.

I was so close to just giving up on this game with hitting on AS, i just couldn't do it. But these hybrid sliders saved everything! I was worried vet would be too easy or not enough walks etc etc, but not the case! Thanks again!!

I agree, veteran hitting has saved this game for me at this point.

Anyone use these with pulse pitching? I just can't stop using PP.

Same here. Use both Vet and pulse pitching on All-Star. Works perfect for realistic stats and a challenge.
