Re: ILiveForThis and authentic's MLB Simulation Slider Project 2012

lol

Holding off until tomorrow. I have to be zoned in to play with these sliders. I'll post my opening day box score tomorrow. I'd get 1 hit again if I played right now. Glad I played an exhibition game, now I know that Strasburg is no joke and I'll have to play really good. I might up contact to 6 though. I have been looking at replays and have seen a lot of balls that actually go through my bat. I think this has to do with timing so low and pitch speed high. Contact at 6 might help with this. I'll probably run with contact at 6.

ILFT's Milwaukee Brewer Franchise - Game One
v. St. Louis Cardinals

- The Brewers had runners on base often, but couldn't get the key hits when the time was due.

- Kyle Lohse pitched swell, leaving after 7 innings, only giving up 3 runs (2 back in the first inning)

- Meanwhile, Yovani Gallardo didn't have his A-Game. He gave up 4 runs in 5 innings, walking 3 and striking out 3.

- Lance Berkman (2-4, HR, 2 RBI, BB, K) paced the Cardinal offense, earning himself POTG honors.

- Aramis Ramirez played well in his Brewers debut, hitting his first homerun of the young season.

Also, authentic, thats not the reason why. It's the timing that is making the ball 'go through your bat'. Give it a click up one or two and see if you see a difference.

Changes look good. I've been hurt by the long ball a little too much even when I have the batter fooled. Braden killed me last night with the fastball/changeup, he threw both of those pitches 40+% of the time and kept me off balance.

I am going to raise human timing to 2. I also am putting CPU manager hook back to 5.

Re: ILiveForThis and authentic's MLB Simulation Slider Project 2012

I played two games last night with the changes. First game was COL vs. MIN and I was down 3-0 going into the 8th. I ended up putting together a nice rally to score 3 and tie the game up on a line drive double into the left field corner by Cargo. Wilin Rosario singled to center to drive in the winning run in the 9th and Betancourt fanned the side. Won 4-3. Cargo player of the game with 3-5 w/2 2B, 3B, 2 RBI.

Second game I played BAL vs. WSH and hit back to back to back homers in the 6th with Markakis, Jones and Wieters. Reimold was 4-4 with 4 singles.

My first homers and they were simply unexpected and amazing. I won 6-2.

Hopefully that helps with my strikeouts with these sliders. Everything is good, but I am striking out way more than usual. Only 2 games so far though.

In full agreement with you on the pitch speed at 10.

At default, fastballs don't have enough hop. They take too long to reach home, almost twice as much as in real life. I timed it between The Show and a real life game.

I use zone+analog and I'm liking how it feels to catch up to a heater.
