Dropped Pitch Speed to 6

Increased Fielder Reaction to 9

Dropped CPU Pickoffs to 5

We are getting closer to a final set but I want to wait until the PS4 version drops and make sure that everything plays perfectly on the PS4 so we can call this an official release and start our franchises

Messed up and went into the first game with the wrong settings profile and had to sim opening day to leave the game and it saved so had to start over and decided to get a closer look at the team who will once again play my arch rivals when I get to my real chise that of course would be TNK's own Boston Red Sox.

Opening Day Game #1 Boston @ Baltimore


Man what a crazy first game! JJ Hardy got things started for Baltimore out of nowhere with a solo shot in the 2nd but Napoli managed to answer it in the 4th with a solo shot of his own to make it 1-1 heading into the bottom of the 4th.


Lester had been pitching really well but something happened in the 4th and he just couldn't miss bats giving up a 2 run single to Markakis (Sizemore double clutched or something on me on the throw in as I should have nailed the 2nd runner easily) then later in the inning Chris Davis continued what he started last season and crushed a 3-run HR to left to give the Orioles a 6-1 lead after 4.


Ortiz managed to hammer one to left-center to lead off the 6th for the Sox then we started grinding and with runners on the corners and 2 out AJ fell behind 0-2 and watched some close pitches and fouled off some tough pitches to get the count back full before squeaking a bouncer by the second basemen to cut the lead to 6-3.


The very next inning Miguel Gonzalez managed to get Nava and Pedroia (who had a rough day he scorched 2 or 3 pitches but just right at guys) to start the inning before Ortiz and Napoli managed to draw back to back walks to put 2 on with 2 out with Carp due up. They brought in a left hander from the pen and I don't know why but even though Carp has good ratings against lefties something just told me to pinch hit Gomes, so I did. He watched the first pitch for ball one then just managed to hold back his swing on the second pitch to get ahead in the count 2-0 before hammering a pinch hit 3-run HR over the left field fence to tie it up at 6!.


It stayed scoreless until the bottom of the 9th Tazawa in his second inning of work allowed the lead off hit, but bounced back and got a weak pop out but Markakis would take him deep as the next hitter to give Baltimore the walk off 8-6 win.


Was still a great game! Really felt good, was happy to see I was still able to draw walks as this was my first game this year without QC on.

Game #2 Boston @ Baltimore


Well there's really only three things to tell you about in this one.


Thing 1: Boston had a 3 HR 2nd inning, that started with a Mike Napoli lead off solo shot then A 2-run HR from AJ Pierzynski followed right behind by a solo HR by Will Middlebrooks as they went back to back and Boston had a 4-0 lead after two.


Thing 2: John Lackey Flirted with a no-no through 5.2 innings.


Thing 3: Lackey continued to dominate on his way to a complete game shutout allowing 3 hits 2 walks and striking out 6 including the last three batters in the 9th to humiliate the Orioles.

Thx. One example, on a normal speed double-play grounder to the SS hit by a slow-footed C, the C should be about 2/3 to the 1B when the DP is completed. However, the C almost beats the throw.

Also, hitters are too fast to get infield hits too often.

Will try out more games to see how it goes.

What Rosters are you guys using with these sliders?

Only problem I'm having while playing with these sliders is hitting for power. I've only hit 5 HR's in about 20 games so far, playing mostly as the Dodgers in a test 'chise. Not sure if its a me problem or a gameplay problem? Otherwise these are as great as usual

Also it could be attributed to not playing with the Dodgers at all before starting this.

It's just streaks man that's baseball, your liable to hit 5 your next game. Biggest thing is not to push for them or you wind up trying to pull outside pitches or jumping off speed stuff that winds up to low to do anything with. Biggest factor in getting hrs with zone is getting pitched out over the plate, do you move the PCI? Personally I don't so most of my hrs come on pitches right out over the plate.

Getting ahead in the count is essential without it pitchers never feel the need to put something over the fat part of the plate, if they are always ahead then they can stay on or off the corners with no worries.

As you can see I've hit 6 hrs in just the first two games of the season, also I did a mini chise with the Dodgers when I first got the game and you have to keep in mind the parks your playing in (San Fran, LA ect.) And the great staffs your facing early on (San Fran, Detroit, Arizona has some tough guys ect) they will come you got some good pop on the team.
