Thats exactly the reason, the swing animations are a split second faster this year and thats about all it takes from being late to being early. I'm sure with some practice we'll get this figured out, good thing is i can slow my swing down a lot easier than speeding it up, "old thumbs", lol.

i tried batting from the offset screen and that did help some with my timing but then my strike zone recognition gets all scrwed up.

I agree. Even though the ball feels like it's coming in slower and you have more time, you still get fooled by the offspeed stuff. I still suck at hitting!

The window for check swings seems to be narrowed down also. I like this years batting, forces me to be patient and actually read pitches instead of swinging all over the place.

Finally got a homerun, bottom 4th with Jimmy Rollins leading off on a fastball that caught too much of the plate.

This game is amazingly real. They did an excellent job with the lighting.

The batting stances look good in my opinion. I am ecstatic about getting this game!!

Thank god someone else noticed it! - I thought it was me and my controller just being stupid

Put me off at first, im used to feeling the buttons as the 'diamond' so to speak.... then I looked at them and thought... hmm X to first, that dosent fit. Luckily I played to my instincts though, still havent won yet

I just saw something I've never seen in a baseball game before. I am playing the Phillies. I had Victorino hit a a grounder towards 2nd, SS dove for the ball ...throws to 1st and it was CLOSE but the 1st base ump calls him out.

Victorino got PISSED! He started yelling at the 1st base umpire, and one of his teammates tried pulling him back to stop yelling. The ump ejected him from the game. LOL! That's awesome!

Has this happened to anyone else yet?

this game is great but why can't you see any brick behind the batter like last year. The lighting effect is awesome but you cant see the brick at citizens park at all even when they turn the lights on.
