My fantasy world: I wish SCEA would design different covers for different areas with each cover being a team-based collage. In the same direction as Madden 10, but take it to the next level. Include a plethera of images of the team's best players, stadium, mascots, etc.. I wish I could explain it better, but I think y'all get the gist of what I'm trying to say.

Reality: Pujols seems to be the obvious choice, but I think SCEA will turn to another play seeing as Pujols is on "The Bigs 2". And whether you beleive it or not, if the games are placed side-by-side in stores, SCEA could lose out on sales to the more casual gamer that just wants any baseball game. I believe it will be Jeter, due to the record breaking year, or Zach Grienke...the underdog.

My vote goes to Mauer. On track for his 3rd Batting Title (only American League Catcher EVER to win one), on pace to hit over 30 hrs, Gold Glove Catcher, excellent base runner, sideburns, Target Field, and best overal player in the game today.

They could put a flaming turd with a baseball cap on the cover next year and I would buy it LMAOOOOO.

Right now I would say Jeter or Mauer, big market small market doesnt matter. This game caters to the hardcore baseball fan not purely the casual crowd and I can easily say that if Mauers on the cover it isnt going to matter to anyone.
