Good point. A-rod and Tex pretty low on my list anyway being a Rangers fan.

Ditto. It would be a step back IMHO if SCEA went with the computerized faces.

Re: Player card picture changes?!?

I would rather they put in computer generated faces. By the time you are a few years into your franchise or RttS career, nevermind the tail end of it, there are so many people who have changed teams and so few real life players left that it's comical how wrong the images are. Put it in as all computer generated photos, and there wouldn't really be a change as the career/franchise goes on, making it seem even more realistic. While the game now is quite realistic, some of that reality gets thrown right out the window when half of the players have real life photos (and the 43 year old B.J. Upton has exactly the same look as the 23 year old B.J. Upton), and the rest of the players have computer generated faces.

If they go with the computer generated faces, they'd also be able to age them as time goes on so your 45 year old knuckleball pitcher doesn't have a player card and image and appearance of a 20 year old rookie.

Computerized faces would be horrible. I'd rather keep it the way it is now.

My dream is to be able to upload a pic ourselves as most of you have been talking about.

I don't see a reason that it couldn't be done due to the fact that you can edit names and likenesses for players to begin with. Not to mention that OOTP on the PC has this feature and is MLBPA licensed also. It is a feature that I would really like to see implemented for presentation reasons. It would be very cool to have player portraits for all of the minor leagues and what not. ADD this to the fact that there are several contributors on these forums that do unbelievable work with creating the players faces for the game and it would make for an unbelievable roster set. It has also been mentioned that when the faces are created by Knight and so many others that the computer generated Pic is good enough. Again they do a great job but a real player portrait just adds to the presentation in contrast with a computer generated photo IMHO. Hopefully we will see the feature added to this franchise at some point. SCEA might be reluctant to do something like this due to the fact that it would make the game compltely editable, thus making it uneccessary to buy future versions, however I would always buy the newest additions due to added features and other factors.
I agree 100%

It would be cool if the players hts would change if they changed teams. Shouldn't be too hard.

Yes...I love when a team makes a trade and ESPN has the player's new team hat on right away.

Re: Player card picture changes?!?

they should make changes to the player hats when they are traded or moved. If you pay attention to mlb.com then you know they do this to most mlb players, they keep the same pic usually, then paste a new hat on and it looks so close its almost real!
