Check the Mariners, the away alt. and regular uniforms are 100%the same.
Havent played with or against the Phils yet in the game, but I know they have their normal red hats, and they have a blue hat too. I think it has a red bill.

With the Phils, their Alternate Away uniform is just a hat change like you mentioned, but I don't think they wear it in real life on the road.

Some of these jerseys are available on the road in the game but just aren't available at home, and the game has left one alternate jersey for a couple teams (Twins, Astros) out of the game all together.
I know you and I briefly discussed this and I didn't get into this, but if this is the case then the style guide is wrong for the A's. Since adding the black jersey two years ago, they have never worn the green jersey at home.

As Brunnoce stated below: It's black at home, green on the road.

And this is the A's "rules":
Home Black Alternates: Random/Not Frequently or when starting Duchscherer
Away Green Alternates: Random/Very Frequently(basically every game the home team doenst wear their colored jerseys)
Throwbacks: Random/Not Frequently only on sundays
I'm certain I have read that it is the pitchers choice what jersey they wear. I know Duchscherer will pretty much always choose the alternate (home or away) unless he is in a bad slump.

I remember reading him say that. It is possible it's changed since then, but with how random it is, I wouldn't be surprised if this is still the case.

The O's wear their black on Fridays. Home and away.

The marlins usually wear the black jerseys whenever they feel like it, they really have no special time when they wear them.

Good call... Make that 15 teams in that case. I didn't realize the A's stopped wearing the greens at home.

Home: Normally Saturdays, Sundays, day games during the week, occasionally other times.
Away (not present in game): Worn anytime.

Powder blue retro alternate:
Home (not present in game): Fridays
Away (present, but very inaccurate): Typically not worn, but has been worn on the road at least once when the other team wore retro uniforms.

White retro alternate:

Doesn't officially exist in real life (inaccurate uniform present in game). The Blue Jays have worn a white retro uniform on at least two occasions in the past ten years, but only to mark a special event or anniversary.

The Blue Jays uniforms in the game need a few fixes. The home, road, and black alternate uniforms have a red maple leaf on the right sleeve in real life. The font for player names on the road uniforms is inaccurate in the game. The retro uniforms in the game have buttons down the front, when they are clearly designed to be pullovers.

When combined with the poorly modelled Rogers Centre in the game, the Blue Jays seem a bit neglected.

Both of these errors were in the game last year as well.
