Here's a quote by Russell that illustrates the data storage concern. Even though he says memory they are not referring to system memory (as in Random Access Memory or RAM), they are referring to data storage on the Vita carts which most people do not refer to as memory (but it is not wrong to refer to the data storage on the vita carts as memory since I assume they are using some sort of physical flash memory right?).

But I still don't fully understand that argument completely. Are they saying that this year the cart will be completely filled? Last year the game was 2.8gb, the limit for Vita games is at least 3.3gb as someone pointed out was Blazblue's download size which was also released physically. If the devs continue to use the storage space argument, I'd expect to see the size of MLB 13 to be around 3.2-3.3gb. If it isn't than I'd have to assume as a consumer that space was left on that cart.

I really hope that there is still room on the Vita cart or else I fear the Vita version might become a bit stagnant especially on the presentation side. If that happens I really hope the devs become a bit more flexible and remove modes, presentations, and other elements to facilitate the Vita version keeping up with the core gameplay improvements the PS3/PS4 version gets. I'd be willing to sacrifice all modes other than RTTS and Franchise if those modes continue to keep up.

Thanks for checking out the Vita version at CD as I was much more concerned about that version than the PS3 one. I'm glad you didn't notice any framerate drops, although I'm sure a lot more testing would need to be made.

If the game is stable and at least 30 fps throughout with no drops, I'll be very happy. The other additions are just gravy to me at that point. I really hope that the performance is what it should be this year.

I don't think that's a very relevant way to think though, given that these two versions are not competing products. Both have pros and cons, and it is ultimately up to your usage (portable vs. full console, etc.)

there are rumors that the maximum size the vita cart can take is 4GB. so that could be the limit.

I know it isn't lol. just trying to get a feeling for what to expect and how excited I should be abt the vita version. don't own a ps3 so I was kind of hoping it was close or that maybe the mlb the show 13 on vita is more improved

That has been what I've read as well, doesn't mean 4gb of usable space though.

But that is why I am confused about this whole storage limit argument. It doesn't seem like they've hit it yet. Or did they actually hit it this year?

On a 4gb card only 3.6 is usable, this year the Show is just about there. The team does not want it to be stripped down either but there are mandates from Sony that have to be followed. There really is nothing else to discuss about it.
