Franchise withOUT using 30 team control

I have not had a player retire due to injury. I use 30 team control. If it does happen, how do I change it? Does it show up in messages? In pending transactions? Until Knight mentioned it, I never thought about using three day notification on trades rather than the instant trade that I always used. Does the retirement thing work the same way?

After the end of the season, I look at injuries and uninjure significant players, so that way they can't retire due to injury.

I'm sure D'Backs fans are frustrated Justin Upton was traded but there is nothing they can do to "fix" it.

ive been playing franchise mode since 09 and im finally deciding to attempt 30 team control..i think i understand knights explanation of it and im testing it out until osfm drops but even if u set all 30 lineups perfectly the will just change as soon as u go to play a game...i could of course set every team to manual and set the lineups each game but theres no way im about to do that..i think im doing everything right so far, i have control of all 30 teams and my team is set to manual while the other 29 are auto. i can go in and change whatever i want with the other 29 but its almost useless as they will screw it up as soon as i start to play games. dont get me wrong i want the other teams to do what they want i just dont want to see stupid things like david ortiz as the everyday 1st baseman or rediculous lineups with ppl batting 3rd while they should be 8th or something along those lines.

In your case here....create a 3rd profile that has everything but LINEUPS to AUTO.(and lineups MANUAL)...and simply assign it to the team you are about to play and set the lineup before the series. You will still get a change in the case of fatigue...but you should see the lineup you set most of the time.

It really is okay if some people don't want to do 30 team control.

I can appreciate how much you want realism on all 30 teams and it's perfectly fine but it's okay to accept the fact that there are those out there who simply enjoy playing their team in their franchise and not worrying about anything else.
