Looking at dodgers Yankees pic…
How did you get a no flap helmet? I thought they were not in this years game?

It is on an editable minor leaguer in the Rangers system,
Jordan Prosychen

Move him to MLB and it will switch to him wearing the no flap helmet.
We then import him out in order to creat a template. SDS adding him in the most recent Live Roster update. This was the same way we got the no flaps last year as well. They just added him late this year.

Not sure if you accept suggestions and whatnot, but I'd love to pitch a few ideas for future projects.

Is this some sort of workaround by San Diego studios to skirt mlb equipment requirements for the show?

Cool!

Ever since you guys have started to share your projects with us, a few seasons have stuck out to me as ones I'd love to see your spin/take on:

First and foremost would probably be 1952. This was the last season of "traditional" alignment before the relocation/expansion frenzy of the mid-20th century. In addition to Negro League players/teams being used to fill out teams that didn't exist then, perhaps Pacific Coast League players/teams could also be used for this purpose. I'm certainly biased as a Northern California baseball fan, but I think that'd be pretty neat.

Another season that's crossed my mind is 1959, the first year of full, league-wide integration with the debut of Pumpsie Green for the Red Sox.

And, if you guys ever decide to head back to the 80's, I'd love to see your take on 1989 (again, certainly biased as a Bay Area baseball fan, haha).

One last thing I'd like to mention is that the 1900's and 1910's have also fascinated me (especially after reading The Glory of Their Times, one of my all-time favorite baseball books), but I understand if going back that far presented some logistical challenges. And, that era certainly doesn't hold as much interest for myself as the other seasons/eras I mentioned.

Maybe?
I'm glad we have it back, even if it is late in the cycle.

We have 1955 being built right now. Using the unaffiliated PCL teams as well as teams from the Mexican League to fill the gaps is exactly what we are doing. Bothe The PCL and MEX had former MLB and NeL talent scattered across their leagues. We like digging a little deeper and using real players and teams to fill out the full 30 team league.

We also have the 1915 project going again. We had postponed it due to the lack of that dang no-flap helmet. Would be great if SDS gave us the hat when batting like in Storylines. Anyway, 1915 project will be AL, NL, FED and 6 teams from Black Baseball to fill out the league. When we found out the no-flap helmet wasn't in MLB 23 at release, we decided to postpone 1915. Now its back on. We really didnt want to make it on MLB 22. The face editor on 23 is much better.

1915 teaser vid we made early this year

A few of us are SABR members and really dork out on old time and obscure stuff. On MLB 22 along with 1927, we made a Barnstorm file consiting of teams from 1910-1920. That one was a blast. With all these projects we also make the logos for unis and full rebrand and stadiums.

Since no flap helmets are back, sort of… any thoughts if updating the 1984 roster?
