I sure hope your right bro, between 20 and 23, I'm enjoying what the game is putting out, I guess I'm just nit picking on the little nuances.

My wish for 24 is, that I would love it to have the true my Era Mode like 2k24, stadiums, rosters, scoreboard font, uniforms.

Or a mode like 2k in wrestling, 30 and now 40 years of wrestlemania.

I’m loving that 1998 roster. I’ve had my franchise going for about a month and half now. What I’ve done on mine is I’ve added the legends version to a lot of guys that played in the late 80s thru the 90s. So I’m treating it more like a 90s era experience. I’m a big cubs fan and Ryno is my guy so I had to get the ‘89-‘92 power prime Sandberg in there. For the first year, I’m limited moves to guys that played with the cubs in the 90s. So I also gave myself Dawson and traded for guys like Dunston, Rey Sanchez, Brian McRae etc….I also trade for young prospect like Aramis Ramirez and Derrick Lee.

I’ve busted out my 1998-99 Baseball America Almanac and I’m gonna fill in some of the filler plays league wide as the season progress. As for the drafts, I’m also gonna give each team their best guys from each draft. So I know in year 1 I’ll be putting Corey Paterson in the system.

After year 1, I may open it up and be less actual cub centric on my trades but that remains to be seen.
Still plugging along and my little 90s/00s universe is getting great results. I’m 125 games into year 1. As I’ve said before Ryno is my favorite guy so whenever I historic roster it’s always based around him and specifically his power prime years of 1989-1992.

As an aside, personally it hit me pretty hard last week learning about Ryno’s current health situation. Feels almost like a family member Ive never met….i guess that’s the power of a childhood hero and now even 35+ years later and me being in my 40’s I still feel it. Anyways, needless to say I’m rooting very hard for him to have some comfort and get through this as best as possible.

Anyways back to the game…..I’m so happy how the stats are tracking. For me I play times hitting on HOF and legends pitching on legends. Personally I’m not seeing “1998” type numbers but I seeing really nice early 90’s type stats so I’m a happy camper. Sandberg for example 125 games in is slashing .291/.380/.492 with 20 Hrs, 77 RBIs, and 29 steals. These are all kinda right in line with that ‘89-‘92 era Ryno. Sosa while not really coming close to his “98” year is hitting slashing .281/.350/.530 with 29 hrs and 94 RBIs. So it’s been more of a 1993-97 type Sammy. Grace is also having a grace type season hitting at .315 with 5 hrs and 82 RBIs. Again, I’m just happy with these results and loving this 1998 roster.

Also, wanted to say I’m happy about the upcoming 1990 roster. Don’t see myself, starting over but I’m definitely downloading and using it as a resource to potentially tweak guys in my current franchise or if something happens to my current franchise it will definitely be my next one.

We stream a lot from our youtube channel. Usually no mic while testing out completed teams, stadiums and rebrands on the work in progress.
