Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

I just read the following on mlb.com

"In 2015, batters hit 723 more homers than they had in '14. In '16, they hit 701 more homers than they had in '15. That's more than 1,400 additional dingers in just two seasons, with the 5,610 home runs in '16 representing the second-highest total on record, behind only the height of the homer-happy era in 2000"

Maybe we shouldn't have been so worried about high home run totals after all :-P

I do not use the vault as there would be too many versions floating around which might confused people.

In a few minutes, I'll be streaming my April 19th game (Marlins @ Mariners) and sampling one or two changes I'm thinking about for v1.12 of this slider set.

Come on in and chat MLB, Show, baseball, whatever!

Is it possible that Power had been turned down by the devs?

I've been following along with your sliders and was getting accurate results. But the last 6 games I've played I haven't seen a HR by either side. Really haven't seen too many deep fly balls either.

Is anyone else having similar results?

There wasn't a patch, but there WAS an "update"... yes? And, who knows what was updated as the developers are MIA right now? I mean it's a possibility, no?

Weather it be an under the hood drop in power or US dropping power to zero, this game bacame very sluggish. I've run test franchises with every version of these slider sets but 1.11 has it's very own feeling to them...

I STILL think There's a wind-to-ball physics issue going on here...

Draw an imaginary line from home plate, cross over the pitcher's mound, continue over 2B & straight through the OF grass & over the CF wall & hit a ball to the left of that with wind blowing left to right... that ball is dying. Hit a ball to the right with wind blowing left to right... you may have a chance at something?

VERY curious to see what 1.12 brings...

A slight bump in power, with a drop in solid hits & wind might be worth exploring one day IMO...

My first game using these and I liked the way this game played out, one thing I noticed is with the CPU timing at 1 I was getting them to swing and miss a lot and then Kiermaier took me deep
And the thing I liked most was just the way the ball was coming off the bat, when I was playing at default everything seemed hard off the bat, it felt like the new ball physics really came into play with these settings
Looking forward to how these play out in the coming games
