Not sure why people expected something else.

This generation hasn't been a huge leap graphically. Performance yes, but graphically no. Especially in the sports genre neither Madden or NHL got huge upgrades in graphics when they went "next gen only". It's also 5 years into "next gen". The game looks how it's going to look with minor upgrades from year to year.

I wouldn't expect the games graphics to be overhauled unless they take a year+ off.

And you all need to be careful what you wish for, because if they decide to build a game engine from the ground up you never know what else is going to break in the process.

I also don't think think it's a bad looking game. It doesn't look like a ps3 game like someone of the people here think.

Looks exactly the same and the bummer is if it’s gonna look the same we now have no ps4 version so we don’t even get sounds of the show. I was willing to move on to the proper PS5 version this year if the graphics were upgraded but here we are… super disappointing

The PS5 MLB25 screenshot actually looks worse due to the blurry fans and stadium in the background. Everything else looks exactly the same.

That’s just a setting you can change while taking screenshots.

Huge bummer, even if they can’t change the player models, the dirt and grass would go a long way.

I really hope that dropping the last gen consoles allows them to add a lot of new animations, but I’m completely prepared to be disappointed again.

This game used to blow me away 15 years ago, and for whatever reason it’s just run into a wall graphically.

Even just looking at the player, I could not tell a difference.
