It's not like it can't be done; for whatever reason (and years later) SDS still refuses and simply ignores it. The N.L. mode/models proves it CAN be done. Arrogance or ignorance?

Personally I think the ball movement on pitches is over exaggerated. But that's just me

I highly doubt that SDS is sitting there saying "we're not going to do this just to piss people off" or anything to that effect. We have no idea why they haven't been able to do it. Would it be nice to hear as to why? Of course. But I swear, some people around here just think they don't do things because "they don't want to"

Well, I will agree that I would probably swing at every pitch as they all seem to be in/just off the zone. I was referring to the look/animations.

Oh yeah, that's what I mean though. The animation of the pitch coming in, especially curveballs.

The pitchers in the Show have no explosive, aggressive energy to them.

PYS wins this hands down; the Show should be embarrassed after all these years that there has been no significant progress with pitching animations/motions on their end.

I do agree about the field and uniforms. The players, stadium lighting, and general lighting are definitely better though. But since the whole package isn’t at the same graphics level, it does make it look not so great overall.

CX was a solid TV too. They did do some upgrades for the C2 and C3 that help with the overall gaming since 4K HDR for XBox are slightly better as well as input lag improvements.. But for a TV that is a few years old, the CX was one of the better ones for gaming systems.

just give me an MLB Eras mode for franchise
I can overlook stale graphics so long as the game modes over deliver

if it is the same franchise mode with the same graphics, why would I spend another $70 on this?

Are you referring to PYS…if so then yes I agree that certain pitches like the curveballs and sinkers do have some weird movement but other pitches I actually prefer the way they move as opposed to to the show…two seamers come to mind and also the circle change

This is just so sad that MLB The Show is like frozen in time when it comes to graphics.

My hype was at about a 8 a few days ago when I heard it was Current Gen only. But after seeing these pics my hype is now at a 2.

I knew it was to good to be true.

I guess we now have just the Nintendo Switch to thank for MLB The Show graphics still looking like a PS4/PS3 game.
                          I don't understand it either.

Maybe its just the jersey portion needs some graphical and fidelity upgrades.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I’ve watched a lot of gameplay and there’s no way it plays better than the show does. Gameplay looks stiff as hell.

Did anyone else notice in the first screenshot the Mets away uniforms are different? They have a blue/orange/blue stripe on the pants and sleeves.

So I don't think anyone is arguing that the graphics aren't "fine". But I pose a question to you since the graphics have pretty much frozen in place

How much longer are you okay with the same graphics? The same field and uniform textures? The same pseudo 2d stadium assets in places? Since they are "fine" and aren't going to get worse, is your implication that they never need to upgrade them since they are perfectly "fine"?
