I'm trying to figure out if I'd be pissed or not. Hopefully I'm only buying one Toyota in a ten year period and I wouldn't care what they did the other nine years. But I guess there are people who buy a new Toyota every year. *shrug*

That’s literally what car companies do. The 3rd gen Tacomas from 2016-2023 are virtually indistinguishable from year to year.

For everyone that shells out 99 bucks for the same looking game thats not even on game pass anymore ? have fun, you are exactly why they don't upgrade it. In the Carny business I think they call you a mark

But does not look like it going by that screenshot with Bryson Stott.

I have a "STRONG" feeling the graphics team have been putting like 90% of their time working on the "Current Gen" PS5 version of the game for the last few years now. Which is why MLB The Show still looks like a PS4/PS3 game. And as some here have said until they drop support for the Switch Gen 1 version like they finally have for the PS4 version the game will continue too basically look the same.

I guess the good news is the Switch gen 2 comes out later this year which from what I hear may be on par with PS5 or very close too it. So perhaps MLB The Show 26 will be the true "current Gen' version with a major face lift????

Anyway I am sure most of you here have seen what is capable on the PS5 thanks to that other baseball game from Japan. Just a few things that game does better is infield dirt, Player models, Sky/Clouds and Home Run Camera's just to name a few things.

When MLB The Show's graphics catches up to that game then I will be a happy camper again.

And I really don't mean to complain but I am not getting any younger and I really would like to see what MLB The Show looks like when using most of the PS5 power before I am too old to play this wonderful game any longer.

          GO EAGLES!!!!!!!
This is what I've been hoping has been happening the past few dev cycles. And like you said, hopefully 26 will be a clear upgrade in terms of graphics and finally taking advantage of the hardware in the current gen (PS5 and Xbox Series) consoles.

Also to add to this... the Nintendo Switch version in itself isn't holding back the current gen graphics, it's getting held back due to SDS or MLB's insistence on Cross-Play between PS5/Series consoles and the Switch.... that's the problem. So, again, hopefully for 26 the Switch version is left behind, replaced by the Switch 2 version. Then this cross-play shouldn't be holding everything else back.

But really all of this makes me wish that MLB didn't force SDS to develop for Switch and Xbox consoles. SDS wouldn't have had to walk this line over the past 5 years.

Yeah I said this last year. But I’m done hoping it’s finally happening next year, year after year. By now I think they (he higher ups) just want The Show to be the ultimate esports game where every graphical upgrade or big change can bring the (cross) gameplay in jeopardy and therefore potentially lose players.

This is really the way I wish more people thought. I bought a PS5 ($600) and MLB 24 ($133, most expensive version) I also pay $100/m internet of which 20% is used for gaming. I have played well over 500 hours of MLB 24 this year, so that works out to $1.95 per hour of entertainment.

Outside of TV and subscription services, name another form of entertainment that you get that kind of ROI. And I get to use the PS5 for multiple years of The SHow so each year that gets even better.

I have been wanting the the lineup and bullpen logic fixed for 8 years and I would take that as well over a graphical leap. I just don't understand why I am forced to choose one of the other as if they are mutually exclusive.

I'd take bullpen logic improvement over basically anything else.
