Completely off topic at this point, but this is absolutely untrue. RDR2 is still talked about as one of the most beautiful games ever made.

Ive been playing in the last few days.

In 4K Ultra with DLSS 4, its absolutely incredible looks wise.

Anyway, these screenies...

Could be from any year since 2017/18 onwards.

Man, that is disappointing. Especially seeing what a current gen only sports title
like College Football can look like. Maybe going current gen only was a late decision? But on the other hand you would think that a big graphics overhaul would be in dev behind the scenes for a couple years...I don't know so where are we at?....

Maybe we will get lucky by the time PS6/XB2 release lol

I need to play it again since I got my new TV. I thought it looked really good, but it wasn’t touted as one of the cutting edge graphical games at the time. It was just an amazing deep story with a ton of extra content. I only wish online was better.

College Football is probably a bad example since it looks pretty good, but since it’s only a 1440p native game it’s nowhere near as crisp as Madden. That was actually one of the confusing things for CFB, specifically since it was a current gen only game.

True the resolution leaves a bit to be desired in CB25 but on the other hand Madden now looks and feels a gen behind to it imo. But also Madden and a bunch of other sport titles are still cross gen as well.

Like I said after everyone started freaking out about "current gen only", we'll see if there's even a noticeable graphical upgrade in the first year.

But that gives them what, two years of this console generation to see graphical upgrades before the next one comes out, and that one is held back from what this console boasts?

All this talk about graphics and what I find funny is that the most popular and best rated games in the market right now are games that don’t have top of the line graphics (Fortnite, Roblox, Minecraft, Rocket League) and the games that are “cutting edge” graphically are some of the lowest rated games (Battlefield, Cyberpunk, Black Ops 6, any of the new Star Wars).

Was watching a YouTube video where it was explaining that companies have invested so much time and effort in worrying about pushing the graphical boundaries of games only for them to backfire in bad reviews and people not playing them as much. The main reason given was that young people who play now have always had really good looking games, even back to the 360/PS3 days, so they care more about great stories and having community fun with friends. Hence why there have been a bunch of layoffs lately because the money spent pushing the boundaries was found to be better spent on just making better, more community focused games.

Nothing really to do with MLBTS, but was an interesting watch and figured while we were talking graphics, I might as well share it. Well that and I figured we could all use a break from the back and forth bickering.

Cyberpunk is incredible. It had a rough rollout but it’s a completely different game now. I think the low ratings are because people never revisited it after the terrible launch. It’s easily in my top 5 story driven games. Sorry I know that’s off topic.

The low ratings are definitely from the release. The ratings now are actually much better, but it took awhile to get there.

I completely disagree. The atmosphere in CFB is great, but the lighting, models, and overall graphics for Madden on XB1X/PS5 are definitely better than CFB.

I don't wanna go too off topic, but it also reminds me of no man's sky. I got it on launch day, and playing it now it's like on a whole new level.

Hello Games is a studio that all game studios should want to become. Own up to mistakes, and go above and beyond to fix them.

100%. I played about 10 full madden games and it felt behind. It felt robotic and not nearly as crisp and fluid as CFB. CFB definitely has a little more jankiness going on, but I couldn't go back to madden after playing it.
