Well this is completely deflating. I saw this coming when they said they were still supporting the switch, but I was still holding out hope that there was gonna be a big graphical upgrade. Unfortunately, if you told me these screenshots were from any of the shows from 18-24, I would believe you. Even small details like updating the belt loops on the pants to the new Nike template haven’t been addressed. This just further proves they don’t intend on updating the uniform templates at all. Really disappointing, I’m really hoping maybe the trailer will show a big difference compared to these screenshots, because right now I’m considering not purchasing on launch and waiting until it’s on sale

Not sure why people expected something else.

This generation hasn't been a huge leap graphically. Performance yes, but graphically no. Especially in the sports genre neither Madden or NHL got huge upgrades in graphics when they went "next gen only". It's also 5 years into "next gen". The game looks how it's going to look with minor upgrades from year to year.

I wouldn't expect the games graphics to be overhauled unless they take a year+ off.

And you all need to be careful what you wish for, because if they decide to build a game engine from the ground up you never know what else is going to break in the process.

I also don't think think it's a bad looking game. It doesn't look like a ps3 game like someone of the people here think.

I have a "STRONG" feeling the graphics team have been putting like 90% of their time working on the "Current Gen" PS5 version of the game for the last few years now. Which is why MLB The Show still looks like a PS4/PS3 game. And as some here have said until they drop support for the Switch Gen 1 version like they finally have for the PS4 version the game will continue too basically look the same.

So basically once PS6 is released, we'll finally get a game truly built for ps5 lol They went from their graphics being a generation ahed to being a generation behind. I also think a huge frustration is they is seem like they do not improve much of anything in this realm. Like if they just touched the uniforms or the dirt or the grass... we could at least pass that as progression.

Yeah anyone who sees 6 screenshots and immediately jumps to conclusions about the game was probably standing on those conclusions from the start.

Doesn't even mean they are wrong about any of those conclusions necessarily, but pretending like we have enough information to make any judgements about this years game is pretty ridiculous.

For me, the graphics look just fine. The player models do need an update, but I still think it's a beautiful game. Looking forward to hearing about the Pro Enhancements [emoji3526]

While I would love to see improvements to the field textures and player models, I thought last year’s version took a solid step in terms of lighting, and specifically the players faces.

And with the Pro, and a capable tv, I’m really hoping SDS is able to utilize the extra capabilities.

I feel the same about the lighting. I thought it looked great last year. I have a Pro and the LG C1, and so far all the Pro Enhanced games have looked amazing on my tv. But I also agree with you in the field textures and what not. A little face lift would be great!
