I agree, but we purchased with the knowledge that nothing might be touched. That’s all I’m saying. There’s a lot more they need to do with Stadium Creator and it’s been untouched since the second year they added it.

Disagree. I only pitched three innings with Max Fried against the angels, but the cpu offense definitely has a bit more pop and don't seem to strike out as easily.

Again, this is very early and based on only a few innings of pitching.

Goat pitch speed definitely seems faster and if your cursor isn't touching the ball at all, you're swinging and missing, no cheap fouls with the cursor not touching the ball.

Re: MLB The Show 2025 Early Impressions

1) Spring Training AND Home BP hats are in. BP jerseys have been removed (finally)

2) For Stadium Selection, you can now choose between:
-The Show Network, Regional Network of either Home or Away Team, and MILB
-The Show Network allows for different eras

3) Lightning is way improved. Last year looked solid, but the signs are finally lit up in the stadiums so they stand out instead of not being noticeable at night

4) The dirt getting dug up when you slide is really cool, especially when sliding head first into 3rd or home

I know I’ll have my gripes with this game shortly, but so far I’m enjoying it and it looks really nice.

Not to be smart, as I’m a big show fan, are you going to set me straight with my initial “impressions”. There’s a ton of stadium creators here. With zero updates the thing is dead. There is nothing new that can be done.

I’ve pitching a shutout immediately into the 8th inning with Rodon striking out 11 batters on GOAT default pinpoint. They are no better than last year IMO, still chase badly

Re: MLB The Show 2025 Early Impressions

Played a couple games and sifted through the rosters stadiums and jerseys.

+ the jerseys look TRULY incredible. Great work SDS. The stirrups and socks and updated low pants are perfect
+spring training hats are in
+looks like patches and alternates are up to date
+stadiums that got updates seem to have them in game
-I couldn’t spot much for new equipment at all but that has came in batches in recent titles so I’m hopeful
-front jersey numbers seem a bit low again. Especially noticeable on Mets alternate 2s that are pullovers this spring
-now that the actual jerseys got love it’s time to update the undershirts and sleeves. The painted on long sleeves stick out like a sore thumb now.

I was in love with the couple games I played. Stadiums seemed alive and almost over amped as plays happened. Loved it. Was really cool to hit a no-doubter with Elly and see him point to the bullpen as he rounded second base. A little thing but enjoyed the celebration at home had both guys run to the dugout and not walk.. the Show has always had too much walking for my taste. Players almost ALWAYS jog back to the dugout after homers and runs scored.

The presentation I really liked. I’m actually a fan of the new no doubt home run presentation and I consider myself a 30 team control franchise sim nut. I don’t think we are too far from something like that in the future anyway so I embrace it. Otherwise the lineup swipes and general package I enjoy. I don’t play with commentary on so can’t give that a grade. With the updated grass/dirt/ jerseys and stadium walls etc the game is an absolute masterpiece to my eyes.

I play on a ps5 pro and 27 inch 4k HDR LG ultragrear at my desk. Legendary classic for pitching and legendary directional for hitting with pitch speed at 8/7 respectively for sliders.

Excited to dive into franchise tomorrow but I haven’t went to bed this excited about the show on launch night in a LONG time.

Re: MLB The Show 2025 Early Impressions

Played opening day with my cubbies against the dodgers. Won a walk off 3-2. But the dodgers did not bring in Tanner Scott their closer. Hope it’s just one game thing and not the norm.

Edit: I was trailing 2-1 going into the 9th. Got runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 out and they still didn’t bring their closer in
