OS Show Nation,

Yesterday I received a thorough survey from SDS in regards to future iterations of MLB The Show and features that would be highly impactful vs not as important (based entirely on your responses) and also we were able to give detailed feedback on each potential franchise feature.


First and foremost I answered as Franchise mode being my most played mode which then triggered the survey being all about franchise.

I was blown away at what they are talking about potentially implementing into franchise mode and my hunch is they will take the results of this survey and prioritize all these potential additions.

So they are reaching out and listening to feedback. It was 30-40 minutes because I was giving a lot of feedback in the areas I hope to see.

Here are a list of topics we gave feedback on. Please note this is not a wishlist thread. I just want all of you to be aware if you get an invite to participate in this survey please take it seriously and give good constructive feedback so we can see some major improvements.

These were all questions asked of me and the level of importance and a box to type additional feedback and thoughts on all these topics.

1. Immersive Winter Meetings, Trades in the Winter Meetings and making it a more robust part of the game.

2. Commissioner Mode giving you complete control over everything in franchise mode

3. Full League Customization to do realignment, rules changes and have era specific leagues inside franchise mode

4. International Signing Period

5. Japan League like player system/player hold (I forgot the name of what they were discussing)

6. Expanded rosters to add 36 more players for full single A and rookie league

7. Expanded draft rounds and scouting

8. Custom Draft Classes

9. Full Online Franchise

10. Fantasy Draft online leagues

11. Year to Year Saves

12. Completely overhauled player progression and regression system based on age, performance, stats, injuries etc

13. GM Role Playing feature similar to 2K My GM

14. Revamped Trade Deadline mini game similar to NHL Series

15. Fog of War on player ratings

16. GM Personalities

17. Manager and Coach personalities and ratings as well the ability to edit them

18. A new overhauled wear and tear injury system including lingering effects of major injuries, minor strains, career threatening injuries.

19. Full on Expansion Mode

20. Additional Trade slots expanded to 5 players

21. Cash Compensation added to trade system

22. Competitive balance compensation draft rounds/picks

23. 3 team trades

24. A true GM mode to simply watch games and run your team ala OOTP baseball.

25. Bullpen tuning to reflect modern baseball

26. Revamped lineup logic to reflect modern baseball


27. Expanded sliders for franchise mode ala NBA 2K to cover a vast amount of logic to custom tailor your experience.

Guys....it was a deep survey and I appreciate them selecting me to participate.

Everyone please let your voice be heard and let's hope for continued improvement to franchise mode.

They are listening and want feedback to prioritize features.

The bolded is where I gave the most feedback and highest priority.

I haven’t received an email yet but all i ask for since i cant get past a season is i miss mlb radio giving a highlight of previous games and ability to set ticket food and jersey prices

Not being on the pre-order, I doubt I will get the survey. Just want to thank those of you that take the time to respond!

I don't need year-to-year saves (I'd love it, don't get me wrong..) but I would like an explanation as to why roster files can't port year-to-year as they did with 19 & 20.

I received and took my time with. If they're really considering the items they surveyed, we're talking best game ever. Just wish they could patch them into 25 dammit. Good chance for us franchise guys voices to be heard .

They aren’t getting all of that into one game in one year. That’s like 5-10 years of building out. But good to see they are asking the community for feedback on potential features. It’s been years since we’ve had something that detailed from them.

I also answered the survey. I am glad they are seeking feedback. However, implementing many of these ideas could be quite challenging from a programming standpoint. The one thing that was not asked was to give us a list of all the proposed ideas and ask us to provide a ranking of 1 to 10 as to which we consider most to least important. Depending how the survey comes out SDS will have to decide what ideas to put resources behind.

If MLB the show 25 had Year to year saves, i would buy at launch.
Now i finish first my Career on mlb the show 24 (played 8 season)

Yeah, this is a pretty deep survey. I plan on taking my time with franchise so I can provide some thorough feedback on it before the deadline.

I haven't heard news this good since when we found out EA was bringing back college football for definitely..
Hopefully this is the sign of a rebirth of sorts for The Show.
