Does the survey explicitly cite NBA 2k or is it more vague like "improve the amount of customization in Franchise similar to other popular sports titles?"

What I really whish for is to play a "Franchise Season/career league" with seasons past teams. Imagine playing a Franchise league from the 20's,30's 40's 50's, 60's and 70's,...etc With the exact league structure alignments from that period.

Please SDS, make this happen. That's all I'll ask for...lol

Best idea that is unlikely to make it into the game - y2y. A recent article on this website indicated they would have to put everything else on hold to program that. I'd love it but don't see it happening.

Expanded draft - great. revamped progression/regression - great. Customized schedule/realignment - great.

Revamped trade deadline mini game? What is that?

Additional trade slots so players can rip off the CPU even more?

More injuries? Terrible idea unless they vastly expand the draft and international signings.

Worst idea on the list - fog of war player ratings. Keep that out of franchise. I'm in Columbia MO. I've seen multiple first round draft picks play here and the scouts are taking detailed notes and using stop watches.

A few good ideas on that list and several that would cause me to not buy the mlbts26.

I assume what they mean by trade deadline mini game would be kind of like FIFA's transfer deadline day. You have like 10 hours and you can do things like submit offers and then have to wait for a reply. Meanwhile other teams are making moves.

I don't remember seeing more injuries on my survey but if they expand the minor leagues this is definitely something the game needs. You can only injure 5 pleyars per level and if you've ever tried to add real injuries to the game you know that almost every team goes over that at some point.

I took my time and read all of their ideas, and they seem to know what the people want. My question is, what are they waiting for? Corporate? The next set of consoles?

It did not cite NBA 2K but described all the deep features like vastly expanded sliders, A GM mode, Customization options like My League which we know is in NBA 2K.

They heavily implied features like that amd how important to you is it etc.

11. Year to Year Saves

A developer named Nick who subsequently I think has left the game explained they left the option open to add the feature future versions debunking the idea that it was impossible.

I'd hate to see them spend time on the trade deadline instead of something more substantial.


If they expand minor leagues given the attributes of minor leaguers in the game I don't want a rash of injuries. More useless minor league players won't replace a rash of major leaguers. That has the potential to crash franchise mode.


Over the years a few great suggestions from this forum have made it into the game. Player search function was something I pushed for and we got it. Stadium builder was a feature a lot of us pushed for and we got it. Relocate team and design uniforms was pushed for - it was already in diamond dynasty - and we got it.

1. Expanded rosters to add 36 more players for full single A and rookie league

2. Expanded draft rounds and scouting

3. Full League Customization to do realignment, rules changes and have era specific leagues inside franchise mode

4. Completely overhauled player progression and regression system based on age, performance, stats, injuries etc

5. Full on Expansion Mode

IMO, this you get set first, because once this is in you can then work on the rest without needing to re-tune logic and the works. This is the core building block, and if this is in, I will never even think about getting OOTP.

The intent behind this is to force you to use scouts in a smarter way. The knowledge of your ML club will be pretty high from the start and the "fog" would come into play when scouting other clubs, your minor league system, upcoming draft prospects, etc. At least that is how sports management sims (FM, OOTP, etc.) implement the "fog of war" system. I like the idea if implemented in a similar manner.

NHL actually does a pretty good job of it where you know where you are at with your franchise, but all other teams/draft picks need to be found. Even the top guys you know up front, but over time you lose track on them if you don’t use your pro scouts because you don’t know if they’ve progressed/regressed and if they fit in your coaches system.

It really starts to show itself after year one too. It would be a welcomed addition once they got a few other things squared away first.

Hopefully new things like this would have an on/off option.
I would totally opt in on not being able to see any attributes except running speed in terms of MPH or home to first speed in seconds, not a 0 to 100 rating.
I would also like to be able to see my pitchers pitch speeds in MPH, not a 0 to 100 rating.
Everything else, I would judge a player based on his production numbers.

I did not purchase this year's game at all as the changes to franchise mode weren't enough but i did receive the survey. I only play franchise and stadium creator and I feel like they fell way short of their capabilities for me to give them money.

The fact they are looking for feedback and the things being discussed I have high hopes. If suitable updates are made to stadium creator and some of the highlighted points Armor has get implemented it may bring me back next year.
