Unfortunately I didn't get the survey, but I'm very happy that they are reaching out to people to get feedback.

One thing I didn't see on the list, but that MUST (in my opinion) be included, is Non-Roster invites to Spring Training. This way we could play our prospects not on the 40 man roster, in Spring Training (as well as veterans not on the 40 man) to see how they perform, without having to add them to the 40 man roster, only to burn an option when sending them down if they don't make the team.

Everything else on the list was outstanding though. This is the only glaring omission.

Gonna take Armor's template and run with it. The red moves my needle the most.

1. Immersive Winter Meetings, Trades in the Winter Meetings and making it a more robust part of the game.

2. Commissioner Mode giving you complete control over everything in franchise mode

3. Full League Customization to do realignment, rules changes and have era specific leagues inside franchise mode

4. International Signing Period

5. Japan League like player system/player hold (I forgot the name of what they were discussing)

6. Expanded rosters to add 36 more players for full single A and rookie league

7. Expanded draft rounds and scouting

8. Custom Draft Classes

9. Full Online Franchise

10. Fantasy Draft online leagues

11. Year to Year Saves

12. Completely overhauled player progression and regression system based on age, performance, stats, injuries etc

13. GM Role Playing feature similar to 2K My GM

14. Revamped Trade Deadline mini game similar to NHL Series

15. Fog of War on player ratings

16. GM Personalities

17. Manager and Coach personalities and ratings as well the ability to edit them

18. A new overhauled wear and tear injury system including lingering effects of major injuries, minor strains, career threatening injuries.

19. Full on Expansion Mode

20. Additional Trade slots expanded to 5 players

21. Cash Compensation added to trade system

22. Competitive balance compensation draft rounds/picks

23. 3 team trades

24. A true GM mode to simply watch games and run your team ala OOTP baseball.

25. Bullpen tuning to reflect modern baseball

26. Revamped lineup logic to reflect modern baseball

27. Expanded sliders for franchise mode ala NBA 2K to cover a vast amount of logic to custom tailor your experience.

Though I know doubtful but I hope league customization includes season length options. Something like 54,108, or 162.

I would love expansion!

My line of thinking is if they can come up with schedules for different amount of teams then they could also possibly do other different scheduling options. Once they figure out how to code one different scheduling scenario, then others will be easier to implement too. And I know they're smart enough to do both, they just need more hours in a day. I think the best way to accomplish that is by hiring more help for their already overworked devs.

The survey was strictly for features within franchise mode.

SOTS would fall under presentation

Create A Stadium would be its own category

Great breakdown Armor, I do wonder with the OS article on SDS game engine and it basically confirming that the Switch has kept this game from advancing more ? IF now they have been working with Switch 2 dev kits ? so maybe we finally getting the bigger advances nest year ?

If they expand to full single A rosters, I hope they add non roster invitees for spring training. Out of all of that information that seems to be a more realistic option that could be added for next year. Some of the other things seem like a roll out over the next few years.

My gut feeling is first they expand the rosters by 36 slots for full single A and a smaller rookie ball roster.

Expanding the rosters to me is priority #1 because then all the logic for expanded draft rounds, prospect generation, winter meetings, the return of year to year saves will be built around all of that.

My hope for 26 is we see two major upgrades:

Expanded rosters
Full league customization options to play it anyway we want. That means division realignment, how many teams in the league, era specific rules and filters/presentation. Think My Era like 2K has.

Once those two things are done they can build out everything else around the proper AI roster logic.

I always was wondering when the roster expansion would come….because I would love for Y2Y to return so I can not ever worry of leaving behind my franchises again. I would love to know I can carry forward my franchise and roster files.

Time will tell but I was very encouraged by this in-depth survey by the team at SDS.

There was a ton of ideas in there.

As an avid franchise player, I am so thrilled to see such an in depth and detailed survey about franchise mode. A little disappointed that they took it down so quickly though. I received the e-mail on Monday and figured I'd have a few days to complete it. I was planning on filling it out while waiting for my flight this morning, but nope. Oh well, my fault for procrastinating.

Thank you to all who took their time to thoughtfully answer all the questions. Anything that makes franchise mode, I'm all for!

I would love to see my "MyNBA" type sliders to customize the experience. While with 30 team control you can control a lot but it's super annoying that it's almost impossible to get a veteran to sign a 1 year contract when you just want to fill out a roster spot.

Anther big thing I've been wanting for years, which I'm surprised isn't a focus, is the ability to import players into an existing Franchise. Nothing worse than starting a Franchise, spending hours editing a roster only to realize that you're missing someone and there's no way to get them in without editing another player.
