PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)

If it was something that could be turned off then rain delays and doubleheaders wouldn't bother me. I don't see how that would improve the game by any means, but if enough people want it then go for it. I just think there's more important things that are in drastic need of work (that trade and free agent logic...ugh).

I agree Tylerh, rain takes a back seat to things like trade logic and commentary. 8 years of Matt V is enough, we really need someone fresh. If 2k was able to make the commentary as good as they did on ps3, the ps4 should be able to do even more with the memory capability.

I SERIOUSLY doubt that's happening.

Why wouldn't they though, I mean it's still a big part of the game, and we've had the same play-by-play lines for 8 years.

Well....they can certainly do something to mix it up a bit....have the lines that are not heard as much come front and center......better commentator to commentator chatter etc....but there is no way they are ripping out 9 years of audio in Year 1 of the new console release.

Good points, although they did replace Vin Scully with Matt in year 1 of the ps3.

yes year 1. not 9 years of recorded dialog. thats a ton of lines theyd have to reaccumulate and completely shrink the size of the line database..and isnt that what people are complaining about? People want more variety and the solution is to eliminate the variety available by having one or more of the main commentators removed? doesn't make sense to me or them I suspect.

Nope....Matt V's debut was MLB '06 (the first to carry "The Show" label, had Ortiz on the cover). He was on PS2 before the series moved to PS3.

I know this quite well, seeing as this is the game that got me hooked on the series (and I still own it to this day)
