Why oh why are the cpu at bats not skippable in the HR Derby on rtts?

Oh my goodness this is terrible. Is this something that could be rectified in a patch? I know I won't be doing it again next season. They take so many pitches this takes longer than a game on full broadcast mode without skipping any scenes.

You can fast forward to your batter's chance. You don't have to watch any of the CPU's at-bats. Just press options then fast forward to your player's at-bat.

I've done it twice this year and each time I was able to fast forward.

Do it before the ball is in play and the pitcher is throwing the ball.

You can skip the computer's at bats in the home run derby.

You have to do it before the ball is in play. I thought the same thing and damn near posted on here myself. Then tried pausing again before the ball was in play and the option was there to fast forward.
