Stadium Lighting

This was a big issue for me (and I know others) last season as it really affected certain games and teams that I chose not to play with (Pittsburgh, Seattle, San Diego, Philadelphia, St. Louis)

I know the outfield lighting issue was rectified for St. Louis, and one can only imagine it has been fixed for those remaining.

But my thought is whether or not the awesome "neon" effect seen with ballparks light San Francisco's Cola Bottle, Minnesota's Twins sign, Philly's Liberty Bell (half lit anyways) and the pinwheels on the scoreboard at U.S. Cellular, will be added to other ballparks. Truly hope is does as it definitely adds a lot of pop and atmosphere in-game.

I REALLY hope they continued this effort with some of the other Ballparks:

Fenway Park: Citgo sign should be neon. Also the Fenway Park behind centerfield seats should be neon (similar to pinwheels at U.S. Cellular)

Turner Field: The Tomahawk on the centerfield scoreboard should be neon with chop animation

Progressive Field: Indians script on top of the scoreboard

Safeco Field: The Safeco Field sign above the left field bleachers

Comerica Park: Tigers script on top of the left field scoreboard

PNC Park: Blue light on concourse beyond left field. Also city skyline definitely needs more lighting enhancement

Marlins Park: The Gigantic centerfield art deco eyesore with the Dolphins should have the added neon lights glow

Coors Field: The Rockies sign atop the scoreboard should have more of a neon or brighter glow to it.

Busch Stadium: The Budweiser sign (don't recall what it says in game) and the lettering on top of the scoreboard needs to be enhanced. Better neon effect to the two redbirds and clock atop scoreboard.

Any other thoughts?

Re: Stadium Lighting

As a Pirates fan, you're spot on with PNC improvements. Picture proof is endless on these topics.

Actually Chikiboy, I would advise posting pictures of each example because photo evidence generally makes it more likely that SCEA will implement things in later games.

There's also the stadium feedback section in the stickies with links to where you can post it too.

Re: Stadium Lighting

One of my biggest complaints with the show 14 was the lack of lighting in the outfield of some stadiums but also the lack of lights in the buildings of the city views, it makes it seem weird like a emptiness around the stadium, its like Pittsburgh couldnt pay their electric bill.

Re: Stadium Lighting

Have they fixed the issue when players go deep in center field and the player get darker like he went into the shadows? I play with the Rays and it always happens.

Re: Stadium Lighting

Following some of the suggestions for photos, I went and pulled some up and interestingly, it seems that the Pittsburgh skyline can be rather dark at times (save for some signs on the building).

I did see some other photos where this wasn't the case.

Gonna post some photos in a few.

Re: Stadium Lighting

Adding some photos just for reference. As it is obviously late in the Development cycle, I can't imagine anything for lighting could be added at thsi juncture.

In the past, I've made a couple comments here and there in the Stadium Feedback threads. Following the release of MLB The Show '15 and getting a chance to see what the SDS team was able to accomplish this year, will definitely add A LOT of photos and suggestions for MLB The Show '16:

Fenway Park (Citgo sign):
The cool thing about the Citgo sign is how it is illuminated differently at given times (ie: white portion of sign is sometimes lit up in neon and sometimes it is not):
Citgo1.jpg
Citgo4.jpg

Coors Field (Rockies Sign):
This sign just needs to be outlined in neon purple with white neon dots around the clock:
