Absolutely!

Again, I was just being a nerd and thinking about the logistics/process of it all.

That is some wishful thinking! I think it is currently situated this way to release closer to the start of the MLB season.

Quit spreading fasle information. Name 5 consoles games in the history of console games that were pushed-up because they were "finished early".

There is a reason there is a street date. It is to accommodate shipping and equality in potential sales for all retail vendors. This goes as deep as appeasing shareholders that depend on these dates and numbers for fiscal quarters and annual reports.

When people get a game a week or two early it had nothing to do with being "pushed-up". It is because they had an inside track or connection, or (and more likely) a retailer broke the street date and allowed the game to be purchased early.

How is 3 of 5?

Make that 4 - http://www.joystiq.com/2014/07/25/mi...leasing-early/

Make that 4.5 (didnt have an official release date other than February 2015 before it was announced as Jan 27th. - http://www.dualshockers.com/2014/09/...date-moved-up/

And here is 5.5/6 - http://www.structuregaming.com/2014/...date-moved-up/

And all of those were moved up a week aside from Dying Light. Which is exactly what A_Quite_Pro was wishing would happen.

That isn't 5, and Brink Release was a PC title and was delayed a few times from its originally intended release date. But I said console games. DMC is really just a rehash of a game that was already out that is being optimized for a newer console, so that is not a typical release anyway. It is only going to be $40.

So, even going back 5 years doesn't really produce more than 1 true instance of this happening; where an original, full-priced, console game gets its release date pushed-up. To give an impression that a sports title could even theoretically have that occur today is pretty far off from the reality.

Brink was indeed on consoles. Now it might not have been at the time it was released on PC. But it was a console game. And DMC being a remake changes nothing. It had a release date. Needed to be finished and go through approval with Sony and Microsoft. It was moved up a week.

The point it he wasnt wrong. And he was never actually expecting it to happen. You can clearly see that by him saying #ainthappening.

Re: When will this game go "Gold"?

I'm glad that you felt the need to search so hard for these instances. Instances that all were announced months ahead of time, not in the final weeks of production. These games were moved up because of conflicts in competition and none of them were sports titles. You are comparing apples and oranges.
