Since all the errors/omissions have been pretty much covered, I'm going to take a different approach to this post. I love this game so I don't want people to think I'm hating and I'm sure some may think I'm being picky, but anyways:

All the graphical improvements to lighting and grass/dirt are amazing, but a sports game can only look as good as the player models/jerseys do, and for me the uniforms are what is holding this game back bigtime.

I'd say a good 20 teams are plagued with numbers being too thin, too low on both the front and back of jerseys, and scripted team names being way too small. These errors leave uniforms looking so bare and plain as opposed to real life.

Example 1: Dodgers


-The size of the Dodgers text is accurate, but the skew is nowhere close.
-Front number is at least 3 inches too low and only half as thick as it should be.


Example 2: Orioles


-Orioles text is not wide enough by a slim margin (passable)
-However, it is too short/scrunched by a fairly noticeable sum
-Again like many teams, the front number is way too low
-The black outline is barely noticeable

Example 3: Angels (Worst culprit imo)

-Front number is pretty accurate
-Angels text is too small by a massive amount
-Angels text also has little to no curve like in real life

Example 4

This goes for most teams. The numbers are too low down the jersey, aka too far apart from the name.

I remember years ago the devs explaining these issues by saying most of these problems have to deal with teams having the same jersey template upon creation, and I understand that. But I think its time to finally have a complete overhaul when it comes to uniforms. I know its easier said than done, but I also realize all the great things SCEA has done so it would be great if uniforms got a little more love upon MLB 16.

The comparison pictures are so helpful. Off the top of my head another couple of issues are:

1. On the blue jays jerseys the bird logo is wrongly placed. It should be more to tge right below the S.

2: on pretty much all of jerseys the sleeve patches are way too snall in scale

3: piping is way too narrow. A good example is the A's gold and green jerseys.

It would be awesome if you could do comparison pics for these ad I don't have the facilities.

This years game is the best ever but yeah the uniforms need a major overhaul.

In the past the response was that 2K must of had some different wording in their contact that allowed them to do such and that they had spoken to the MLB offices and were told they had to stick to the style guide. But yea not sure if that's the truth or a spin on their party.

I know they need to have art assets ready to go fairly early on in the process, but it's tiresome that we always have last year's uniforms, the same throwbacks (more would be better) and last year's stadium appearance.

Hopefully some of that will be fixed by a patch. I hope they add the awesome Astros 50th anniversary patch.

I've noticed that the front numbers on the Cardinals unis was too low, but I've never mentioned it in an error thread before. I never even realized that it was probably due to the template.


A uniform overhaul would be ideal. They could redo the style of today's uniforms while also adding templates for sansabelt unis, NNOB jerseys, and pants for the Tigers belt loops. It would also be the perfect time to add cloth physics that many have requested and also.

They already have the Astros patch...
