No matter what they offer, the Cardinals will blow it out of the water. MAYBE if they included Myers, but i dunno.

I think it's realistic for the Padres to get Tulo, because Preller.

But as you said, they really don't have enough pieces, unless they trade Myers. I don't think Preller would be smart to trade Myers though...

They could possibly make a series of moves to get him. That's just a thought.

Re: MLB 15 trade discussion thread

It's not realistic because they'd be outbid.

The second Tulo becomes available, the Mets and Cardinals throw ALL of their young pitching at the Rockies and with Wisler gone, they don't really have much left in the way of prospects. Hedges is a good start but nothing the other two can't beat. Hell I'm sure the Mets would offer d'Arnaud if it came down to it and TDA blows Hedges out of the water. Not that the Rockies need any more catching in their system with 4 guys there right now. They'd have to include Myers, I think. That'd get the conversation going. But I still think the Cardinals would outbid them.

Re: MLB 15 trade discussion thread

With Hart at the helm not sure if this is totally unrealistic but something I talked with Cam about and do want to entertain.

Braves Receive:
Blake Swihart - A
Henry Owens - A
Matt Barnes - B
Edward Mujica - Would DFA if can't include

Red Sox Receive:
Freddie Freeman
Luis Avilan

Good start, good enough to do, would like some input.

Edit: Should Mike Napoli head back in this deal, or Craig, many possibilities.

I'm saying the Rockies are willing to trade him there, and the Pads are willing to take him. You never know though, if the Pads want an SS badly enough, they could send a package of Myers, Hedges, ++ and that may be enough. the Cards or Mets may not be willing to top that offer. it all depends on how the Rockies value Myers.

Can't imagine them asking for any more than that, jeez. I would give Craig too.

But I could see them asking for a less quantitative package and asking for Mookie. I think they'd be more likely to take that, but I don't know if you'd be willing to do that. Mookie + something useful/Barnes??? + Craig.
