Line Drives/ Grounders Up The Middle

Does any else notice that a majority of balls hit back up the middle hit the pitcher and result in an out? I'd say at least 75% possibly more end in this result. It's quite annoying when especially when you have someone in scoring position. Thoughts?

I'm glad someone else sees it the same way. Pitchers react way too fast for my liking and short and second always look like gold glove defenders on balls up the middle.

Not this year for me. I always saw that in the past, but this year I bet 75% of my hits up the middle go by the pitcher. I used to hit the pitcher 3 or 4 times a game, but this year it's maybe once every 2 games I hit him.

Yeah its toned down greatly this year vs year's past. I've had more base hits up the middle this year than I ever had in the Show

My first 20 games 75% of balls hit up the middle went for a hit. Lately 75% have not. Hit the pitcher and the same animations and commentary as always, follows. And I still LOVES THIS GAME.

I think I line drive the pitcher a little too often in RTTS. I had one streak where I line drived the pitcher 4 times in back to back games. In real life, most pitchers try to get out of the way if a ball is hit right back at them really hard but in MLB The Show, they are all crazy macho men who take a line drive off their chest then pick it up and throw you out like nothing happened.

I've played several games and have yet to see a pitcher field a ball hit right up the middle.
