You can choose rain.....wouldn't that be your option to close it?

Re: Weather in 2015

I've found that the turning the head to the side and scrolling through the weather options has worked wonders for choosing weather.

It's going to be random weather. Plus that's not the only time that teams close the roof.

I think you can still choose weather....it may randomize to start each game...but I think you can change it.

Honestly, what does it matter what's going on outside the virtual stadium if the roof is closed?

Because the stadiums still have windows. Plus it's a work-a-round. It makes more sense to give us the same options as we get for exhibition.

I wonder if overcast can trigger it to be closed as well?

I do understand some people's fuss with not being able to select it manually. I know the Dbacks keep the roof closed about 90% of their home games especially during the summer months. If I play with a team like that and the temp is 107 outside and the roof is open I'd be a little disappointed, but it's not a game killer for me like it might be for others.

As long as you can still choose weather it would work. They said weather was random this year but I'm sure you could still manually pick what you want. Only thing is you wouldn't get the great looking sun light effects coming through the windows during day games.

Re: Weather in 2015

I really do wonder if rain is the only thing that closes the roof. The Rogers Centre, for example, is basically mandated closed until mid-May based on temperature. Was the reason it was closed during the playoffs last year as well. Has to be around 60-65 degrees before they'll open it.
