There's no reason for this option to be removed. It would use a simple boolean variable. I can't imagine how this cam being always enabled would be required for any reason.

Re: HR Celebration Camera toggle in MLB17

So I played two full games yesterday and hit 4 home runs. The HR camera activated only 3 times.

Mode: Season
Level: HOF Pitching and Hitting
Sliders: Custom using Fenway and Marino.

First game: Jays at Orioles

Hit home runs with Martin and Morales and both times the HR camera activated. The first time I was kind of annoyed because I couldn't see the ball anywhere but after the replay I checked my swing and timing and they were perfect on the sweet spot and the timing was labeled as “Good”. The Morales home run was even more annoying because I hit it deep to center field, like 460+ feet and couldn't see anything because the HR camera focused on left field. WTF. Checked swing and timing and again - perfect.

Castillo hit a home run for the Orioles and the camera didn't come up. Checked the swing and timing and yes, the timing was early and the swing location was not “perfectly situated”. I hit another home run with Smoak that was pulled to left and the HR camera wasn't triggered: early timing and not a perfect swing (still somehow managed to pull the ball like 380 feet or something).

Second game: Giants at D'backs

Hit a home run with Belt to deep right on a curve that was hung up. Perfect timing and right on the middle - the HR camera was triggered.

Pollock hit an opposite field wall scraper and the HR camera didn't come up. Timing was labeled as “Late”.

I played a couple of “Play Now” games two days ago and the camera never showed up even though I hit a couple of home runs.

The camera is triggered when you hit a definite no doubter? Like hit a ball perfectly on the sweet spot of the PCI with good or great timing? I'll play some more and try to take screenshots this time.

So silly and honestly plain dumb they even removed this option to turn it off to begin with.

They know we want the option back by now, guys. If they haven't added it back in after at least two years of them knowingly seeing plenty of requests for it, then they aren't planning to ever add it back in.

Re: HR Celebration Camera toggle in MLB17

Saw my first HR cam with Kyle Seager. It was a foul ball though. I was excited to see the cam only because I thought it was a home run haha!

I guess I'm the only guy on OS who doesn't mind the HR celebration camera. Doesn't bother me at all.

Seeing that it's my duty to come in here once a year and complain about there being no toggle button for the HR cam, I just wanted to say hello to everybody.

See you all next year.
