That's actually the entire problem with h2h or BR missions, you are reliant on the other person way too much.

I spend way more time losing than winning because I don't quit. But if you go up 2 in the first some people think that's some kind of insurmountable deficit.

Re: So, the Griffey Program Looks Impossible

That Reddit thread didn't even cover all of it; you have to complete all the collect 25 missions, exchange 45,000 points worth of center fielders (equivalent of 225 commons), win 30 ranked games, win 50 BR games, win 50 event challenges, get 150 putouts with Center Fielders, and some other things that I'm tired of pausing and rewinding that Twitch stream over and over to discover the particulars of.

On the one hand, it's a let down as a huge Griffey fan that it'll take so much damn work to get his Prime card and I'm not sure I have the skill to pull off some of the more talent-based tasks, but I'm really going to try. I'll likely be more than satisfied with the Breakout Griffey, though, and after a cold, cold winter of NBA 2K MyTeam it's extremely exciting to see just how many ways the SDS team is trying to incentivize you for simply playing the game. The one disappointment for me so far is that it seems they're no longer transparent about just how many stubs / XP you'll get per statistic. The Griffey program clearly states you'll be reward for completing the incremental challenges but there doesn't appear to be any graphic or box that lets you know how much. It's a minor thing, but if you still have to dig through menus to find your completed tasks rather than just open a window displaying everything you can redeem it'll make for a real headache when you have several eggs in your basket at once.

I have a feeling card drops and exchanges are going to be way, way more plentiful than they were last year as well. Seems like there are just so many opportunities to earn stubs, XP, buy packs, get pack drops, and open up missions for gold and diamond players.

There's going to be a major uptick in desperate, all caps PSN messages with "PLZ LETS WORK TOGETHER" in the subject header once a good number of Breakout Griffeys are out there in the wild, haha.

50 BR games? Haha damn. I hate BR. At least there's no buy in this year. That's what I heard anyway.

With a full time job and a kid, I'm going to go ahead and write off that program.

Re: So, the Griffey Program Looks Impossible

I was watching a youtube video game news video about the company that made for honor... they said that this game would take over 450 hours of gameplay to be able to platinum all of it.

guys they stated in the very first twitch feed that this game was going to keep you grinding for MONTHS... be happy for that... most games nowadays are putting out games that take the average gamer what... less than a day to finish... come on.. be glad they made these missions "near to impossible.."

if I was a grinder in this game which I am most certainly NOT... LOL... I would be grateful to them for making all this content for me to hunt and capture and trophy...

so on behalf of the grinders of this game... or any game... that gladly will accept every challenge with pride and passion... i say thank you to SDS... you did them a great favor...

Yeah, the Griffey card is basically going to be unreachable for the overwhelming majority of the players of the game. I'd like to hear the stats next year on just how many people acheive it.
