Manny Machado signed with the Padres on my MLB the Show 18 franchise, but the only difference was it was an 8-year deal, not 10. I immediately went nuts when he signed with them yesterday because I thought it didn't make sense on the game, but happened in real life. This season was several months ago and I just finished my 4th season in franchise with the Nationals. It's just funny how random stuff like this happens, but turns out to be true sometimes.

Has this happened to anyone else? Some free agent signs with some random team on your game and also happened in real life.

My last one he resigned with the O’s and Harper went to the Rockies.

On my current SP career, Bryce Harper randomly signed with the Marlins of all teams. Didn't think to reload in order to "veto" it, and while he's still unsigned, I somehow doubt he'll duplicate the game and sign with Miami.

Machado, on the other hand, went to Arizona.

I've had this happen within my game on multiple occasions. With the same reaction. In my rtts, my Miami Marlins traded for Starlin Castro. Mind you it was a mlb 17 carry over.
And Machado signed with Dodgers after staying with Baltimore until his contract was up

My franchise got 3 signings right so far.

AJ Pollock signed with the Dodgers like real life.

Braves signed Donaldson except for 4 years instead of 1.

Astros signed Brantley. 3 years 7.7M per year instead of 2 years.
